Ok, it started like a simple sprite edit and now is out of control.
First of all: help. I need help, I'm only a character designer, I can do the sprites but nothing more. So if someone wants to help me is welcome.
Also a little hand in the sprites is not bad.

Here the work so on. Please don't steal it.

With the help of Rozeros and Gate I made one improved sprite

Gate also suggested that is better a bigger version of him

So what do you think?

Looks like he's starting our great, let us know if you ever need a programmer. He can get some really cool color FX going for his transformations and special abilities based on what he absorbed.

this looks great... maybe you could talk to Buyog (mugen creator from the Scruffydragons team) about his smart palette thing so that when your guy absorbs powers, it can actually show on the character ??

Awesome Absorbing man The Brave he looks Great!! best one I have ever seen for mugen well done

personally I have been waiting for this guy to be made for mugen ever since I got into it he is one of my fave characters

oh and I agree with Djoulz comment about talking to Buyog since he made parasite for mugen who has the same powers as Absorbing man (Zvitor might be a good man to talk to as well if he is interested in this

)

I for one wish you good luck with him anyway The Brave he will definitly be added to my roster if he does become a full character

I'm still alive, but I'm very busy at work in these weeks, so I take a break with this wip for some time (weeks).

yeah the bigger one looks good man, but my thing is, do which ever u feel most comfortable in doing. Because at the end of the day, all the work is coming from u. so which ever is easier for u to do man. u do it. I told u before this is a really good wip with a really good start. hope u can finish it.

He's looking very nice. I think you nailed the character. The sprite is perfect. Other then absorbing different objects do you have any plans for special moves? Or maybe special properties to the form he's using? Like stone and metal buffer damage a bit, and glass takes extra damage but reflects projectiles.

More time passes more I'm sure I cannot find the time to finish the sprites.
If someone want to continue this work he has my approvation.

I never thinked to encode the character, but in my idea he can absorb the propriety of the stage or the proprieties frm the bullets.
So if someone hit him with a fireball he became a fire-man, with the ball like a comet, if he touch ice (or in a iced stage) he became an ice-man, with the ball made of spiky ice, and so one.

A more easy encoding is that, he became more hard and big depending how much power-bar levels he use.
1 level, he absorb stone, for a short period of time he's more strong and takes less damage
2 levels, metal, a little more strong
3 levels, metal and mass, he became bigger, stronger and he cannot be stunned, proiectiles don't hurt him.

Some special moves are a ball-chain swing, a heartquake stomp, a waterfall move (absorbing water) and a quick size change and a big stomp.

I think it should be a nice and funnt character to play with.

All usefull sprite are posted in this topic, I had some spare sprites but they are lost forever because now I have a new pc.
Maybe I have some sprites in a portable hard disk, I'll search for them.
