Good or bad, I like feedback.. although an "it sucks" post is truly not desired. This dark look/theme is only temporary like before. It may change one more time between now and Halloween but it's always nice to hear whats on your mind.

Well, if you want to keep it for the rest of October in celebration of fall and Halloween, then that's cool and not a problem. I think a dark/black theme can work if you edit the source files a bit much like I did with my forum. Work with it enough and it can look quite nice. I prefer a darker theme personally as it's easier on my eyes, but the whole red and gray sort of became IMT's theme colors. It's up to you though as it is your forum and you may do as you wish. I support whatever decision you make on what the forums look shall be.

Or keep it till thanksgiving passes and then switch to a winter theme

I would post this in forum issues, but I will do so here as it pertains to the new look...for some reason the theme change has messed up the ability to change topic titles...they can't be changed.

Plus this theme helps me track down white areas in my avy that i didn't see the first time.
It would be cool to have the theme of the forum related to certain holidays of the month.

A little more orange would make it a bit more Halloweenish, but regular members names are orange so that fits with the theme.

Gives kinda a warm feeling..

don't know how to describe it.. it's just good.

For me the Orange & red names blend too much at the bottom of the forum. It's tough for me to instantly spot an admin online. Maybe it's just me, though

It's just you. If you are using a computer monitor, try to adjust the color level some. maybe less saturation.

Just a little something i noticed:Why can't post starters edit a thread's title anymore?
I use that feature a lot and if it lets you correct little mistakes when creating it(something i sometimes do,but now i have to delete the thread and start over)

Because I wanted to make sure someone earlier understood the rule about deleting your own topic being a NO-NO. Anyway, I reinstated that permission so all should be good now.

I hope it was only reinstated for mods .

Anyway , my earlier comment. I think it's just my work computer. The LCD monitor is kind of old & the colors aren't right.

I look for feedback because I am on the fence about making this an alternate theme (where you can select a theme other than the default IMT theme) in the future. What's asinine to you is not to me.

i agree with rage.i liked the black theme and it made avatars and sigs stand out more since some effects were more visible

Wat about multiple themes? Was them a programing issues with that? Like you have to program each theme. Can you just copy and paste code?

@Rage, the problem with multiple themes is that you have to code more. So say Ex installs 5 mods. Well now he has to install 10 mods. 5 on the first theme then 5 on the other. Its basically double the work.

That's why for my forum I never go above one theme. Well besides the software default. It's just easier to code with one theme.

Also I agree on the black BG. That is one of the reasons why I switched to darker themes. It makes effects from different art stand out more. So you can appreciate the art more.

It's complicated and I heavily modded as this forum is, I don't want to have to code in each mod into a new theme. It isn't that I don't like the dark look, I actually prefer it, but these colors are our traditional colors and you really can't change tradition too much you know?

Even on different comps and connections the animated IMT banner seems to slow down the loading of the forum itself. Its not just the new years one either. Its like its the first image to load then everything else starts to show after. Smilies are seriously slow loading too.
