I got eliminated in the semifinals by Waffle. $\-/o$

It's OK though. He is really good and he is one of the tournament guys I know from Zero Ping that streams through Shoryuken a lot. Besides, he just won the tournament.

Second place was Alex, another one of the Zero Ping guys. I recorded the final matches.

They are really tough, but I beat them both afterward a few times, and even won a few matches in a row. They hate my dog and Hulk...

It's been a while since I've been to Zero Ping. It's a LAN place in an alley of a rough neighborhood. $3.00 and you play all day. That's where I went to learn a bunch of stuff at the beginning...

True, but there are over 20 guys better than them at Zero Ping...

No one at Zero Ping plays online though. They all say it messes their timing...

Also rumors that the game has a card collecting system for arcade mode that changes the states for characters.

EDIT2: card collecting is a new mode to be added, called Heros and Heralds. Has tons of referance to other characters; each card has a different ability, such as Parry, Assist Super Armor, XFactor Blowback, Dizzying Attacks, Projectile Invincibility, Special cancels into Specials, Invisibility, ect. You can win cards off of other players. There are degrees of rarity, and cards have strengthened if they're at the top of your deck or at the bottom. The mode is DLC

Sounds fun but I guess this is how Capcom is gonna nickle and dime this time around. This DLC is for free but I'm betting they're gonna go for the card expansions, just like the shadow battles

If you don't want the (theoretical, but likely correct) expansions, you don't have to buy 'em. Although...does it say its free DLC?

They said it's free. I missed

of detail of how it will work online. Something about taking areas, getting cards, using the cards

I like this mode though. Characters that didn't get abilitys that they should have canonly, like Super Skrull getting invisibility or Hulk getting projectile invincibility. From what I read their will be over 1.2 million combination of cards. I don't mind the mode I just don't want to have to buy more cards that are more powerful then the last expantion

That looks cool, but those card abilities are really worse than XFactor and could make a crappy team literally invincible. I welcome the mode, but can already hear people saying how unfair it could be and they are probably right...

I'm sure their is gonna be counter cards for the cards. I can't really tell but I think they run on a meter.Team of one card, I can see so much trolling with that

I think this mode is only 1 player by the looks of it.

I would but my brother's (whiplash) sleeping and the 360's in his room.

It would have maybe been better if all the characters were playable instead of "cards", its not a card game, its a fighting game...

I wouldnt mind giving the mode a try though...
