Coding the Board and "Gethits" while on the board was crazy fun. I hope every enjoys this seak peak into one of the better surprized for the second release of the MvC project.

what exactly will being on the board do, aside from giving him green goblin-esque flying? I also think it might be a good idea to change up some of his physical attacks while he's flying, as that crouching kick looks incredibly difficult to connect with (green goblin had this problem too). the summon for the board looks awesome, as does the stance.

The kicks actually work really well with Silver Surfer. Initially he is only off the ground the equivalent of an extra foot so it balances well. Even in the air the attacks connect very well. Now besides simply being on the board and having flight enabled, the Surfer will replace the ground punch Hyper with a new board rush Hyper and have super (Cosmic) armor. It takes no Super bar power to fly, the game simply requires you to have more that 1 power level on your super bar to call and use the board. If you perform a hyper that takes you below that power level the board will automatically leave, thus taking away the flight and super armor with it.

ah! I like that!

Besides using up the super bar, is there a way to send the board away? maybe you can make it so being on and off the board both have advantages and disadvantages, so an important part of his gameplay becomes knowing when to get on or off the board.

EDIT: actually, watching the vid again, it looks like this was already thought of.

The Middle Kick will probably be a board attack. Other than that, there are no plans to attack with the board other than the Hyper.

Sorry no. If you play the Marvel vs. Capcom - Eternity of Heroes game in Team mode, you'll notice that Galactus and Silver Surfer fight side by side as a sub-boss right before you face Symbiote Onslaught. Therefore neither are found in either‘s separate win poses or moves. In additional, as far as the comic book connoisseur is concerned, Galactus plays a very important but limited roll in the life of the Silver Surfer, who is now, and has been for a good 30 + years, separate from Galactus.

Me too, I always thought the X-Boy sprites were a little too Iceman looking, but the code seems to make up for anything the sprites were lacking, and really captured this characters full potential. Most of us had no idea, this was a nice surprise.

Surfer is great , this is the first time I got to see him in action since I can't get the EOH release to run on 2000 .

One question , as the story goes ...

Isn't the surfer pretty much powerless if he is not his board ?

silver surfer is looking cool. the board thing seems to work really well and thats a nice way of bringing it into the character.

oh and yeah he still has his powers without the board. he just needs it to fly through space and stuff like that. and cause it looks f***ing awesome!

jus a quick question.....are you going to make him kinda more like a solid character but a more liquid feel to him because remember in the F$ movi when he sets foot on his board his feet just slide right in and become one with the board kinda like t1000 from terminator.

Anyway The Silver Surfer of Isela is much better sprited that the x-boy,

I agree, Isela's sprites look really great and with Wucash programming it, it's bound to be a winner. My feelings wont get hurt if you don't download this version Sigfreid. I'll still have him to play myself with either way.
