I won Cyber Stein. I do not have it anymore. The day I won it after the long drive home, I put it on ebay & got $1800 for it. It helped make up for some of the money I blew on cards back then. I look back at all the money I wasted on cards back then & it was stupid.

How much will it cost me to build a lightswarm deck right now? They reprinted the cards & they are all cheap? I may get back into this. I know upper deck sent me a tournament invitation about a month ago. I just got sick & tired of spending a sh*t load of money to have card board that I play a game with. The money, prizes & notoriety you got from winning these tournaments was never worth what I spent.

don't build LS,they will be hit hard by the banlist(which should be revealed by the weekend most likely)
If i were you,i'd build Blackwings,as its base is pretty cheap to make and they will get more support in upcoming sets.Gladiator Beast are also pretty good, despite not receiving direct support for a while
The only expensive stuff are Vayu and the Extra deck to some extent(but no card is more expensive than 30/35 dollars, excluding Dark Armed Dragon maybe)

Oh,and in case you didn´t know,Konami is now in control of the TCG,UDE lost the rights due to counterfeit card production

Are you talking to me?

Yes.

I play the game online sometimes and Run a gradius-based deck a friend made for me.

(not going to pay for cardboard, lol, though I wouldn't doubt my deck would be fairly cheap.)

Is there really an online Yugioh game? I know one of my friends has been looking for one but can't find a good one...

I fell out of favor of this game when I realized that the metagame is so strange that there is a banlist that changes that is hard to keep up with.

The other thing is the vague game mechanics, without explanation, for example nowhere in the rules is the turn count described, yet :Pyro Clock of Destiny" refers to it.

Found a little hole there, but mostly this used for cards that actually change their effects over the turns, like Swords of Revealing Light and Final Countdown for example
Tecnically, you can count every single turn of the game, but it's not relevant until card effect bring them to attention

Link me to this story about the counterfeit cards. I need to read this.

Yeah, I think I have way too many cards to list. I have like 1000's. I was buying them since the first set.

Yeah I host tournies locally, and I am ECSTATIC thay LSs are being torn apart. I am SICK TO DEATH of the metagame. I welcome this change and I hope it stays through a few banlists. I myself run a couple of seriously non-metagame decks (main deck that I've worked on the most is a Cloudian deck, but I also have a Gradius deck, a fairy deck and now a Lycanthrope/ritual deck) but the same metadecks win my tournies and I would like to see that change. Aliens cane be a fun deck, the recent addition of the Gate of the Six Samurai has made the Six Sams a little more of a challenge, and Blackwings are a pain in the butt. Here's to hoping they get limited in the NEXT banlist.

I actually tried to make a Six Samurai deck before, but it was hard because I kept getting the same 2 Samurai every time, and card shops around here don't sell yugioh singles. I also attempted to make a alien Deck, but I also mixed in some Roid monsters to make what I call "Intergalactic Devastation." I used DNA Surgery (I think it was that or DNA Transplant) and made my aliens warrior types. Then fused my Alien Mother to my UFORoid, and made a monster around 3400 atk, and gave it 1 or 2 equip spells, to make it just about 4000 if I could remember right. If I still had my cards, I could remember clearly, but I gave them to my lil bro (out of kindness) and he lost them all on me  :-??

So I don't get it? Upper Deck was just distributing counterfeit cards ( selling them as knock offs ) Or were they actually trying to sell those counterfeits as the real deal?

They made it in China, then brought them to US and stuff.
It's obvious they were trying to make profit out of it,otherwise why bother to do it knowing the risks if KDE learned from it

So Upper Deck made counterfeits of what it could legally produce (and had a license to) to make a quick buck. The judge that issued the injunction must have laughed his head off.

Congrats, you now have counterfeit as a new rarity. L-)

They probably couldn't legally produce them. For example, legacy of darkness they were supposed to stop production on years ago. But there are still some cards in that set that are in demand. I guess they thought why not still produce them under a different company, but we still get a cut on the profits. Pretty shady, but I'm sure they made money with that scam.

I assumed that it modern and current stuff. Either way it was a huge risk.

but we still get a cut on the profits. Pretty shady, but I'm sure they made money with that scam.

And they thought it was worth losing the license and the related revenue stream. They really didn't come out ahead if they have to pay damages.
