I feel as though the left (on his side) arm shouldn't have as much motion in it. It's like he's swaying it back and forth as he's walking, and I'm pretty sure he'd try to keep it as motionless as possible.

I suggest keeping that arm movement as it doesn't makes him a total statue for the upper body, and it just makes sense, if you think about it.

actually both ralph and gensu , you both have good points on that. so i guess the safe bet would be to make the animation a bit in the middle. not too much animation and not totally motionless. Bro dan try doing the animation Ralph way with it motionless ( and add in smaller animation for the arm movement) first and compare both. should give a cool feel of where to make it meet middle ground for the arm movement.

I don't know Ralf, I honestly can't agree with you, the motion makes him feel more alive, else like Gensu kun had said, it'd make him feel like a total statue and it just wouldn't look normal
plus the motion makes sense
