hello fellow mugen fff's ( friends, fans and family) i am a very not only big fan of mugen but a sort of tester as you would call it.i have followed the mugen scene for about 3 years now and i have to say, i am very amazed at

of the creations i have come across. i dont create characters but i sure do give them a good testing out to see if they are actually worth the keeping around for good. All creators/authors are given credit by me. well a question arose when me and my 8 year old son , who now plays my mugen games i have put together , has asked me a pretty hard question to truly answer. Who makes the best characters in the mugen community? I myself even began to wonder was there even a top dog in tha field. but i rather just told him each one is unique in what they do or create. for every bad one there is a great one. so my question to my mugen family is really just in your own opinions and not to start a fuss over it, who do you think are very good actual mugen character creators/programmers/spriters and such and what are their best works thus far. this it to all mugen people evenb the creators themselves. who do you think is a good creator as well.

keep it clean and no fighting. unless its a one on one mugen style.

it depends on everyone's opinion...most of us consider Warusaki3 or P.o.t.S as two of the top mugen creators in the entire community all arround.
Still there's good creators for different styles of characters so it's more of a personal liking than a "standard" for the community.
Let's not forget about our own crew of IMT creators,like Balrog says "we are numba one"

yeah i know of them as well. they are pretty good too. very good. so name a couple of their best work they have done if you can. you are right too about your personal style. i tend to take to characters really of varied types. love anime but have to be done at normal size and with good quality then quantity of moves sets. if they have both then thats whats up. makes the mugen experience even better. right now i am looking forward to seeing a great Dante ( devil may cry) done justice. with anime there are tons of characters that can be done and even with marvel. i saw the unlimited page and trust me, they are on right track with their marvel sprite list and sprites of characters from that universe. Now been on tha scene for a bit i tend to wanna see more anime characters done like black blood brothers and kikaider done real well. hmmm might try to do them myself ,

, if only i have the time from work and being a dad.

. one thing that kinda is gettin old unless they are true original edits are the kula clones. aura and lucy being the stronest are good and done well as well as a few others. just dont wanna be bombarded by 20 different kula's and they are kula! makin them into their own persona and moves is what i look forward to seeing and playing. god please i think there are enough ryu's goukens, kens and gouki's around. lets see some dead or alive characters and true tekken characters come into the fold. venture out from street fight and kof and into some new ground. thats what awes me most. original and true edited creative work. thanks for your input.

Like others have said, this really depends a lot on your personal tastes. It also depends on what criteria you're using to define "top creator". Is it based on accuracy to the original game? How many character's they've released? How much original material they added? How good their spritework is? The complexity of their coding? How flashy their effects are? How much fun their characters are to use?

Asking this question is kind of like asking "what is the best food in the world?". Some people might say "burritos", but some else who doesn't like Mexican food might say "beef stew", while a vegetarian might say "carrots".

IMT is nothing but great programmer but my hero is Mystic Blaze, Splode and Warusaki are amazing as well.

i have come across a few characters in mugen that are very good in design but if done right can be great. i just got one called JnXC . i think i got him from here anyway. i played as him quite a few times. great style, good design but, he should be given some more original moves or even moves edited to a point they seem original. His creator has a bangin character on his hands to finish if he decides to finish him.

Well of course the IMT crew always has nice work, but some of my favorite creators out there are:

Rue (RIP): For what possibly may be the best original character creation of all time... Dragon Claw. And lets not forget his Evil ken & Ryu. AWESOME!!!

Rajaaboy: Because everything that guy makes is an automatic keeper! No matter what. He ain't never let me down!

Vyn: Pretty much the same as Rajaaboy! All of his creations are great!! His Ken is THEE BEST! Hands down... His Rock is ridiculously awesome to! And his Evil Ryu will still mop the floor with you @$$ if you don't know how to counter him...

Loganir: I'm sorry, but if I could, I'd hire that guy to make super heroes full time... His Thor, Wonder Woman, and sand man, are the best there is period...! I would have loved to have seen what his She hulk would have been like. As well as his Logan he was working on. He'd be a great creator for Hydro man when you look back on Sand man and his visuals. Wow!!

POTS: Very nice work he has! I particularly like his Shin Akuma, and Morrigan. Some would say he's the best...

Zvitor: Hope I spelled that right...

... But oh yeah!! Spiderman changed my life!!

Excursion: THE PUNISHER....... Period... I can not wait for future project from him...

There are others I am forgetting, so I'll have to do a part 2 later... Sleepy! Gotta go...

If by number one you mean urine then YOU'RE NUMBER ONE!!!

Joking aside, Aside from Cerenas and Ryanide, I have no "Favorite creators". I don't like most of Warusaki's characters (by most, I mean all but CvsYoko), and I'm so-so with PotS stuff. Although I won't deny that a lot of work went into their stuff.

As someone else say, it's a personal thing instead of a standard. Because I can flat out disagree with some of the other peoples picks for favorites, as they can with mine.

Capcom - They supply the basics for everyones characters and creations. They have the best characters out there, and nothing can possibly beat them.

But as far as creators go. For me they are Acey, Warner, Laspacho, Eclipse and Xfields.

of work i hope one day i can be up there with the gods of mugen creators as well. yeah i got wayyyyyys to go. my first isnt even nowhere done yet but i am sure it will be a very good one especially since i havent seen him around yet. well i hear what yall saying and i just wanna give redit to all the creators out there and your works have inspired me to be as good as you guys/girls. good luck with all the creators characters and all your input into mugen. MUGEN RULEZ!
