I can't think of a Base...

I started making Onomatopoeia, but all I have is this:

As you can See, I can't think of a body for him, I tried Q, but he's too tall and his Trench coat isn't open, then I tried Kyosuke but he just dosen't look right, are there any other guys with trench coats or is that it?

I think Gambit would be a great choice for him. Gambit isnt used a whole lot and there are some moves that gambit already does that would work well with this character.

After a Couple of hours of Frankenspriting I've got this: (I should note, this is My FIRST EVER Sprite Edit, so it's taking me a while.)

But now the problem is his pants, see it's Completly Black, and It's Not tight.

What art program are you using that makes these images have so much extra big space?

Its not too hard to draw over legs to make pants, sence they arnt tight they dont need as much detale in the mussles as tights but you do need to shade them so they look round-ish. Check out my sprite thread (link below my banner where it says login)
In it are a few images that ive drawn clothing over, like Controll Freak, and in Ash  killing Jason I drew all ove Ash's clothing over a urien base. It may give you some insperation on how to get it done.

Sence your making a character out of him, i would suggest not making anything black, and make the jacket one color the shirt another and the pants another so you can get all these cool options when you get to the palette stage of creation.

Kong ripped so many sprites , it's insane . These are probably the most complete sprite sets out there .

How does it look? I Might change the colour of the Coat, not sure.
