Update:

Just in, FilthyKadaver has just finished a stance pose, tell us what you think:

Also, what is the best spriting program to use, should i use photoshop(i have it) or go download gimp
Moonknight looks good to me.

Since it is all pixel art it doesn't really matter what program you use. the advantage of photoshop is that you can apply the pallets easy.

J-Dogg can i ask how old you are?

Also what is the extent of your coding knowledge?

When did you get permisions on Deadpool, and some of the other characters from other teams projects?

Where do people get these accusations from, we're not using characters from other projects or people, most of the characters will be totally recreated, as far as coding knowledge I'm not the best, but i'm an average/maybe above average coder, and i don't want to release my age

Ok folks. I said it before in another thread, let J Dogg and the others do what they do. Lets not start asking crazy questions when they havent even done anything wrong. J Dogg, do what you do. I adimre your passion and desire to make something like this happen.

Yeah, palettes are my specialty, not frankenspriting or creating sprites. I Agree, though, a new stance is called for. Not to mention under-arm webbing like the original comic.

That's exactly what i was envisioning great job Serious, now the question that i want the community to give their opinions for is what kind of stance should he be in? but once again the colors are great also, could you do the same for Venom?

I'll see what I can dig up. Honestly, Spidey doesn't get enough action considering his time in the spotlight and how many comis he's been in. Suffice it to say, I think there should be a temporary armor super suing the Iron Spider ot just Armored Spiderman sprites.

Also consider the random tech he's used in many comics. Hell, Wikipedia has an entire section covering them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man%27s_powers_and_equipment

Even though our progress is slow we are at a good start. We are now strictly in the spriting phase and this is who is being worked on:

Moon Knight(Filthy Kadaver)
Nightcrawler(Me)
Spiderman-New Stance(Jmills) and Colors(Serious Cat)
She Hulk(Spidercide)

Also i want to know what ya'll think of a Peter Parker WIP, where peter parker is used without the spiderman costume with his web launchers showing along with alot of different moves. Please tell me what you think?

Stages:
New Comic Style Spiderman Rooftop(EXShadow)

Color Changes for Ideas:
Spiderman(Serious Cat)
Venom(Serious Cat)

Plain old Peter Parker? and without his Spider-Man attire to conceal his identity?! That is crazy, not to mention asking for trouble! Any villan who knows who their arch-enemy is under the "mask", then they can attack them from where it really hurts. In short I'm against Peter Parker without his Spider-Man costume.

As for the others, good luck.

I  am back and finally ready to create this game the way i should've done from the start so without further udo all of the info needed:

Characters:

Iron Fist
SabreTooth
Beta Ray Bill
Juggernaut
Collosus
Deadpool
Beast
Ultimate Doc Ock
Black Widow
Captain Mar-Vell
Black Cat
The Watcher
Moon Knight:
Loki
Nightcrawler
Elektra
Galactus
The Vision
Jean Grey
Rouge
Blade
Cyclops
Blzck Bolt
She-Hulk
Invisible Woman
Venom
Scarlet Witch
Hank Pym
Human Torch
Storm
Namor
Nick Fury
Kingpin
Doctor Strange
Black Panther
Emma Frost
The Red Skull
Bucky barnes
Bullseye
Professor X
Silver Surfer
Hawkeye
Mr.Fantastic
Thor
The Punisher
Iron Man
Green Goblin(Monster Form)
Daredevil
The Hulk
Doctor Doom
Kitty Pryde
The Thing
Magneto
Captain America
Spiderman
Wolverine

Gameplay:

The game will be based off of a 6-button configuration not including the movement buttons, it will be based off of the mvc template but heavily changed. Each character will have 4 hyper and 2 special moves in their arsenal. There will be 2 medium-damage hypers and 2 heavy-damage hypers. CHaracters will move and play as they would really actin the comics, giving a sense of realness and originality to each chracters. NO CHARACTER WILL BE ANYTHING LIKE ANOTHER!!!!!They will posses their own unique movesets. Ask if there are any questions.

Graphics:

In appearance thisgame will look very similar to MvC but the characters will look more graphically pleasing with better details and comic like aspects. I am also hoping that a good screenpacker maker can help make the screenpack act like a big comic book, sort of like the one in Ultimate Spiderman. Their will also be a comic-style font along with comic strip bubbles in order to really bring the comic books to life.

Stages:

I read alot of comics but i would like the mugen community to give me the best ideas for stages so that ya'll can feel apart of this game's creation.

All right i have told you what i think ya'll wanted to know from the start now i want to know if anyone in the community is interested in joining the team, because i need a whole team for this project.
The main people i need at this time are spriters.......

Hi J-Doog, this is a beta of the intro of my Sp - "Marvel Civil War - Mugen" As the idea is to use images from movies mixed with images of the game and the characters, I am also starting a WIP of the "Maverick" exclusively for this project, clear that if you authorize! I will be posting the first sprints soon. Thanks for the invitation and see you soon!

i really like it, could you do an animation and then post me the sprites, also Fallen_Angel is working on our template  and it should be finished in the next day or 2. once again i really like this one, and i vote for this stance. After we see it animated i would like for Serious Cat to please pallete it, the same way he did the other, to give it our new look. I'm so happy we are showingsome progress

BTW would you need a new stance for Venom too?
His just doesn't seem like the right style for this project.
