Mugen 1.0 Snake Eyes

Snake Eyes has been my favorite character ever since I decided to get on with completeing him. He is so different from 5 years ago that I consider this a completely new released. It's almost as if no one ever really had Snake Eyes in their mugen. His mix of game play from the versus series and his library of attacks really makes him loads of fun to play. His main game play elements are his ability to use his shadow moves to extend a combo and his OTG (hitting an opponent who is lying On The Ground). He can only hit OTG after an air ground bounce attack, and ground bounces create a crater in the ground such as this...



...thus you know you can continue the combo on the grounded opponent. Also remember, his Uzi hyper is directional, just hold up forward or diagonal during the hyper attack's start up. His AI is complete and if you want to see how he should be played just turn the AI to the highest level and watch him kick some bottom.

Snake Eyes' stage is called Night of the Arashikage. Straight forward with a nice soundtrack. Since Snake Eyes is black and grey I knew his stage should have some color to it. while still being in the shadows.

You have had ample warning for the past 10 months. Winmugen is fading away. You and your VCR can hold on to winmugen as long as you'd like though.

Yeah but that are those who are not good enough to keep sir... but 96% of all WinMugen content should work perfectly fine in Mugen 1.0

I'm pretty sure there are patches for winMugen stages to work in 1.0

I wanna try him bad but i am also on winmugen. I tried to change but noticed on mugen 1.0 i get more lag than winmugen. I tryed to config the graphics and lower hit sparks etc but still get this issue. Does anyone have a solution to this so i can use 1.0 smooth like Winmugen?

it might be the screen pack! i started with the imt one and it would lag on my pc. i thought i was because i had almost 4,000 chars, i turned off the sound and it was a little faster. but when i changed my screen pack, everything was perfect. and i tried to hold on to winmugen, but upgraded the day before the party. and people say 95% of the content works, but so far all my stuff works, even stuff i've seen people say didn't work. and even at the lowest res the graphics look better. it's like magic, mugen 1.0 is winmugen on crack and moon shine!

Fantastic Job with Snake Eyes Acey!   He is a combo machine.   All of his moves are perfectly suited to him so none feel even the slightest bit out of place.   I have to say that this release was well worth the wait.   This is the perfect example of why you shouldn't want creators to rush to the finish.  If you up your patience a bit and wait it out ... you get a solid character that both looks great and plays amazingly well.  Congrats on finishing Snake Eyes.   Also, I've tried all of the other characters that have been part of this release party and they are top notch as well.  I think the Haggar (I love playing as him now) and Poison updates are my faves of the bunch so far.  Though I'm impressed with the lot.

Edit: Arcade ran it and I'm hyped. Great update, like a new char.

Only things I can say:
1. The sword demon hyper seems a little dull to me, I like the idea, but maybe add a sound effect or two to it?
2. His victory quote: He talked! :o

Since wikipedia listed that as his motto I figured I might as well give him one victory screen quote besides silence... he was thinking it though, not saying it.  ;D

If you completly remove his AI and set the def file to an older version of mugen he will work. But sorry Wolfi, I just can't support your winmugen addiction any more.

1) Download Mugen 1.0 (IMT screen pack is the best!)
2) Drop all of your chars into the folder, and sounds and stages
3) Copy the chars over from the select.def

i have the red mugen 1.0 screen pack but i tried a few characters and they dont work also how do i set the def file to older version of mugen
trust me i will be moving to 1.0 in the near future

I liked it too. The only thing I noticed on a quick test is the stage have some problems on that metal grid on the floor.
If you take a look, the angle of it and the angle of the background doesn't match.

Yeah, I went and put () around his quote, helps to better identify that he's thinking.

As far as I understand, if Combra Commander is ever updated, it will be a complete rehaul from scratch.
