New trailer was released today. I think it looks pretty bada$$.. gave it a 9 out of 10.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is an upcoming film and the second live-action film based on the Street Fighter series of video games. It follows the quest of Street Fighter character Chun-Li, who will be portrayed by Smallville star Kristin Kreuk. The film is based on the personal history of Chun Li and her journey for justice. The film co-stars Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Chris Klein as Charlie, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, and Black Eyed Peas singer Taboo as Vega. Rick Yune was originally cast as Gen but has been replaced by Robin Shou, who portrayed Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat films. The film is scheduled for release in February 27, 2009.

this looks far from awesome looks like has nothing to do with street fighter bison wears a damn buisness suit balrog shhots a bazooka and uses weapons to many weapons for a street FIGHTER movie just looks awful im really getting pissed at these companys taking this long to realse it needs to be acurate to the game or it flops its only truth every movie based on a game flops doom street fighter double dragon mortal kombat bloodrayne the onlyone ive seen that looked good is hitman and i bet that flopped aswell

hitman was R-A-W and now that i think about is the first mortal kombat movie was ok but i think the more they try to make a movie follow the original story the more it sucks i think the more they change it the better like with movie games the best movie games have content that wasnt in the movie or pretty much follows another story completely like spiderman 3 or the warriors

no movies based on games half the time have nothing to do with the game heres some examples
street fighter the movie:guile is the main character,balrog,e.honda,and chun li are news reporters,zangiefs a badguy,deejay and dhalsim are with bison aswell and dhalsim is a scientist,ryu and ken are just normal guys,sagat is a crime lord, annnnddddd none of them even tried to act like the chars

I do agree that they should've stuck to the storyline of the games.. or made something congruent with it... and I too was like "Bison... in a suit?? wtf... he's supposed to have that red outfit on.. wtf.. oh well.. maybe this is like a prequel and he'll start wearing it towards the end of the movie...

This looks to be like a prequel to the actual series... because there's no Ryu or Ken... maybe the fighters learn self-respect and discipline, and won't use weapons in the future...

well, the last street fighter movie was accurate....kinda..... and that sucked ****.

It's true.. the last one was really close to being accurate (the only reason people thought it wasn't accurate was because the character's stories really came out AFTER the movie.. so.. yeah).

I think Balrog with a Bazooka... should've been in some Street Fighter game... they should make a game based off the movie called Street Fighter: HARDCORE EDITION. That would be awesome!

personally It would be funny to see balrog whip out a bazooka, he seems dumb enough to break out of character and take folks by surprise. but if balrog gets a bazooka, I finally want bison to have clips of raul julia for his voices.

I dont think bison, balrog and the like using guns is that out of character seeing how shadoloo is a military faction

I always saw the grand masters below bison more as bodyguards than anything. and bison never really needed weapons to begin with, but I doubt that needs any explanation.

I think the Trailer makes the original one look better.
At least in the Van Damme one they make Bison Wear his outfit.

Even though the story of the characters were pretty much made up,i still prefer SF:The Movie with Van Damme over this...where Chun-li,although turned into a news reporter seeking to revenge his father(like in the anime),was an asian actress!(Ming-na iirc,who was best known for being in E.R)

And now,if you excuse me,i'm off to watch a subbed episode of Yu-gi-oh! 5d's(much better than GX from the start)
