MvC Dragonball sprite bases

Recently Ive been browsing through DBZ and DBGT characters and noticed that most of them are SNES, crappy edits and generally tiny sprites and chars and most 2 or 4 buttons....Being a huge fan of the anime and the manga Ive been pretty irritated looking around at this crap...so..I'm gonna start spriting some MvC style stances and see how they turn out...Frieza final form and Goku SSJ4 will be my first two....Do you guys have any ideas for good bases? Obviously a ton of editing will have to be done but I wanted to know what you all thought...

I've seen Rock Howard used for Trunks and the Haohmaru (at least the face and hair) from samurai Showdown for a SSJ4 Goku. I've made attemps in the past myself to create an MvC DBZ character to no avail, so i wish you much luck. One day, I'll be sure to take another stab at it as I too really wanna see good playable and not so cheap DBZ char in Mugen.

Thanks man  :) those are some good ideas....and yeah there really isnt another franchise that should be better represented in MUGEN than DBZ.....up to this point most everything has been unplayable

ive seen a playable crappy beta trunks made from capcom sprites, i believe guile and charlie were the bases. it looked pretty cool.

That is kind of what Im going for  ^^(PM)^ just complete and more edited...I think people will like the look of DBZ chars like that

I've always wanted to see some MVC DBZ characters . Majin Vegeta would be bad @$$ . Cell also ! There was an attempt with Goku long time ago . He wasn't bad , but never got finished completely .

You could use SFA3 Fei Long if you enlarged him, hes got the pants, those puffy pants...

For, Goku, Strider Hiryu seems like a good base you could try as well.

He could be very Goku ish and yeah those pants would be a pain to edit but he's got them....thx for the ideas buds....let me know what char/s you would like to see most now  :thumbsup:

hm, well..
less editing the easier...hm
well actually...........
there is one Goku out there with incredible sprites that you could use, Hi-res Goku
but you'd have to get permission from the creator, OTHER then that though
I'd Like to see Cell and Piccilo (he's got some intresting moves thats for shure)

Yeah, everyone knows what goku can do in the show, so i think an element like that will help keep him fresh.

what you guys are talking about is a coding nightmare. it's been done before with snes sprites too. I'd stick with a single form for a character and leave transformations to the intro
