Something in my is not surprised about this at all. After all, Toonami used to be weekdays, then they moved it to the weekends. After the weekend shift, it began it gradualy grow smaller and smaller time block-wise through the years. It's almost like they were phasing it out for some time.

The replacement weekday block, Miguzi (sp?) Didn't last nearly as long as it's predecesor either..

Then again, the DID have good shows back in the day.... But that was Way back when DBZ was 1st being aired.

Now an days all the shows are lame and WAY too Kiddie. So Im glad its finally dead.

I was so sad and upset when i heard that Toonami was going to be canceled but in the end it was fun and I had a blast. I am 20 years old and I will still have a place in my heart that will always honor Toonami and a part of my brain that will never forget it.

So to honor and remeber Toonami i am posting these vids of all the greatest shows that ran on it.

Damn, I remember it well.

I was 16 When Toonami first aired, and for me it was the perfect way to burn off the crap of high school drama.

I remember watching DBZ after college at my friends house when Goku first went SS in the U.S.

I remember staying up late to watch Gundam Wing Uncut on the Midnight Run.

Hell, I bought the Toonami Soundtrack (Deep Space Bass) when it came out, it was and still is awesome.

Honestly, I just can't believe it's gone. Sure it was a shell of it's former self, (nothing beats the 09-02 era of toonami, Tom-2 FTW!), but to know that there is no longer any hope kinda hurts. And that farewell clip...

Man watching those gave me goosebumps........It sucks to know things like that will never happen again on CN and even though toonami kinda fell off in the end I dont think anything will ever replace it...Toonami opened my eyes to

of anime other than just dbz and even all you hardcore anime fans out there that say toonami hacked up your favorite shows have to admit that without toonami you may have not known about it.....so farewell toonami you served us well

I watched Toonami in the beginning , just out of boredom because I didn't have all the DBZ dvd's . Then I discovered a little anime store about 20 minutes away from me . They rented Dvd's & Tapes of anime , & nothing else . I used to get all my rentals for free by giving the kid that worked there DC games . I have every DVD in the store . The stuff that was only availiable on VHS , I capped & have on disc . You wouldn't believe my collection .

That store was run by a drug dealer who went to jail a few times & the business closed .

Now I get some anime from the guy who owns the local comic store . He loves anime & pretty much buys most of it . I got all of Inuyasha from him .

Will I miss Toonami ? Not as much as I miss that local little anime store .

Toonami really has not been good for a couple of years anyway . If Cartoon Network had the audacity to cancel something really spectacular as Justice League Unlimited in the height of the series . Which was very devastating to people . Then why not Toonami ? Point is anime will still exist without Toonami . Once Cartoon Network dropped JLU . The creators dropped it also , since it ws created to air specifically on Cartoon Network . That was sad & I still miss JLU

to me they f**ked up the whole cartoon network, all these new dumass shows showing like 12 hours a day, adultswim with family guy, robot chicken, ATHF, and boondocks is the only thing saving this channel from being crap, I mean I used to watching cartoon network almost all day now I don't even turn to the damn channel unless its 11:00

Read the manga. At least the manga does not have fillers and it is more interesting with the plot and such.

I remember when the cyborg(I think his name was Tom) had his ship attacked and they had this interactive flash game. That was the first time they changed his look. I loved watching DBZ it was like the best show ever that and Spider-man. T_T CN Lost my interest with all that new shiz they've been adding. This is just rubbing salt in the wound.
