character portrait size

ok, im making new portraits for some of my characters but i dont want them to be too big or too small, does anyone kno the right size to make the portraits? the portrait from sandman and Infinity's Batman are the size I want, but i dont know how to find out their size

haven't looked at the port size of those particular characters but standard port size is 120 x 140
