The new guy is Sophitia's son 'Patroklos'. This game takes place 17 years after SC4.

My guess is Patroklos is replacing Sophitia, being 17 years later and all.

That means talims 31 snd yun seong is 35....

Most of the other charaters are in their 30-50s.

Well, except for the imortal ones. (Nightmare, cervantes, Rapheal, Yoshimitsu.)

Well, it's not like they can screw up the canon more then 4 did...

I had heard this rumored.. but I didn't think it was true. I'm excited for a new SC game... though I really hope it's not a COMPLETELY new cast. I really hope to see Kilik again as he's my favorite of this series.

As for new characters though... I hope we get new weapons to go along with them. I'd really love it if they finally put a Sai wielding character in SC. There's been so many games and I can't believe that not one of the new characters introduced over the years ever used Sai. Another weapon I'd like to see is the Three Sectional Staff as it hasn't been seen in SC yet either. Finally, I'd like a Duel Dagger/Knife weapon style.

Anyone else hoping for any specific weapons?

idk how to feel about his. ive been a big sc fan until 4. i felt that game was a waste of money. i was all like "ooooooo we get to make our own jedis

" to find out they made the character creation crap

in sc3 we had more variety in the weapon sets since you could get them to use different disciplines and work their way into getting a character's soul, but tome of the weapons were cool like katana and shuriken and the staff that was like goku's power pole. in sc4 you can only use the character's weapon sets so you'll have a game filled with basically the same characters

and also they took away the story mode with the created characters and just put that tower thing

The only thing I preferred about SC4's character creation was the voice selection and body customization. I hope this one will have a mode like Conquest in SC2's arcade version.

Looking forward to this. The faster, smoother, and elegant gameplay sounds like the series will be moving away from the sluggishness that was SC3 & SC4. Also, hope they fix distancing & weapon reach, for it was weird to see Knightmare get punished by short-weapon characters when he's clearly out of their reach...even weirder for me to say this since I'm a Taki player
