maybe he's got some sort of metal bar running though his clothing, and when he stands on that one foot just right, it sends an eletrical current that makes it solid to however its bent, allowing him to look like he's sitting on a chair or something. Kinda like the cape from batman begins, how its clothlike then becomes hard with eletricity.
