Your Favorite Asian music artists
« on: August 29, 2010, 11:07:11 PM »
Susumu Hirasawa Has been a voice ive been hearing for a lot of years now and didnt really realize how cool he was. Im hearing more of his music these days and i just like his style. Cant understand the words haha but i just like it 8). Its the epic Warrior & Mystical music style he has that i like.

First time i actually heard his voice was in the Berserk series way back in the mid 90s. Then again later for the dreamcast import berserk game intro. i loved that intro track. So its funny to hear this dudes voice again in a random mugen stage i down loaded and this song called Lotus 2 was in it and im like yo i know this dudes voice man. So i had to look em up. he prolly has more cool tracks id like. He has a very distinctive style and voice i can always recognize easily which is a good thing for good music.

In a funny way to me hes like The Asian Counter part of Peter Gabriel (Sledge hammer, big Time)

Rising forces (of course gotta pay homage here)

Rising forces II (loved this track. still have the game)

LOTUS

LOTUS 2 (i like this one better)

and this one (theres more i found and i see i like most of those too)

M-Flo, Utada Hikaru, Mr. Children (classic   ), K-Dub Shine, Ai, Exile (1st & 2nd generation, latest generation with 14 members is a disappointment  :( ) , Crystal Kay, the list goes on but this is a small sample....

that was cool 8) That chick was cute too ^-^

Yeh i heard another hot track in japanese years ago all the time in the japanese book store i used to go to in Manhattan. They closed it but re opened it by bryant park. well the security guard used to always throw on this group or album called first love er somethin. there was a track on there that was hot and thats all i can remember about the d@mn song. The vibe n music was very simular to Alecia Keys latest song "Im ready". Very low and very smooth...

till this d@mn day im dyin to hear that song again lol

@DEMONKAI: Crystal Kay? Yeah, she's a real doll  :) . I got a few of her albums, and her songs are pretty good. A lot of slow, sensual stuff, though, so you gotta be in that mood to really listen to them.

You're talking about Kinokuniya, right? Great store & more easier to get there now that its across from Bryant Park. First Love, huh? I think you're referring to Utada Hikaru's first album, "First Love". That album was crazy popular for many years, for Utada can sing like a dove. I'll hook you up the album shortly.

Well, the thread didn't seem too specific.. Last time I checked, guitarists were music artists as well, so.. Yeah, a guitarist should work. I stand by what I said earlier, with Herman Li being my favorite asian in the music business.
