nope.

Pretty sure that's what he means. See. The first three movies were titled X-MEN. Not Wolverine, yet somehow Wolverine was the main charecter in all three of them and probably had more screentime then any other charecter.

Exactly.

It's criminal how little screen time Cyclops got.

That's because Cyclops is not as popular as Wolverine who is the most popular X-Men character and one of the most popular characters in the Marvel universe.

I really liked the X-Men movies, the only thing that bothered me is that they didn't really follow the plots and timeline of the comic books...

The fact that Wolverine has been a member in a lot of groups is because of his popularity (in addition of his history in Weapon-X, Alpha Flight and almost every X-Men group). Spiderman has also been a member of groups like Avengers, Fantastic Four and such but I don't hear anyone complaining about that..

I meant that IMO, the movies should have been based on the comic-books..

Besides, why re-invent a perfectly good thing? *Iceman ThumbsDown!*

Cyclops doesn't get any screen time because he's a boy scout (in Wolverine voice)

well i see it like this: wolverine is like what...329 years old or something? who knows , so in his travels i can see him joining up with many diferent teams because in the marvel world you never know who is gonna go where and for what reason and at what time periods. yes indeed wolvy is a whored out character but alas.. wouldnt you pimp out ya best girl if you was a pimp? i think so. makes you all the money. he rest just give a lil extr cash flow but the main chick makes all the bread that keeps you in business.
imagine if every character is marvel was like wolerine in essence.... marvel would not make it at all in the business.  its because he is such the wild cool is why everyone likes him so much and he just goes into berserker retard mode and kills whatever. people seem to like that. and sabertooth too. love him.
marvel does tho have beyond many characters that are very interesting and the stories for them are from mundane to deep and involved. but its up to us the readers to make who popular.  i think wovlerine is a lil overrated but thats my personal opinion of the clawed dude. deadpool and other seem to be a lil more interesting to me. whatever the reason why they made him the main go to guy on the movies is crazy to me but heyyy they made money from it so what do they care. we still paid to see them. lmao. same as the comics he stars in with all those other teams. ya get what ya paid for. Wolverine!

I highly doubt it, the writers would just give Deadpool a different power or another reason for having a healing factor xD
They tend to come up with a character idea and THEN work them into the story, it's rarely the other way around...

look at it this way:

It's like giving Batman 50% of screentime and only giving superman like 15 minutes total in a Justice league movie, "Because he's a boy-scout"

Superman actually looks like the most bad butt character ever when compared to Cyclops.
He is a fan favorite too- but Cyclops...well not many people care for him, I mean some do like you Whip, but the majority really doesn't seem to like him anymore.
If people started liking him suddenly again like they did years ago, then we would see more of him- but I don't see that happening since it's been a down hill slope for him for like the last decade.

Most of the best storylines in X-Men comics have Cyclops firmly at the center.  To not like Cyclops is to not like X-Men.

I'm tired of all the anti-hero "cool" heroes.  It's a done and tired cliche.  This isn't the 90s anymore.  Want a REAL anti-hero?  Read about Don Quixote.

They'res nothing wrong with anti-heros, it's just that, when you spam anything enough, it becomes stupid.

And I agree, X-men was and always should be majorily Cyclops's book, if you don't like that, too bad.

Actually the Anti Hero really took off with Punisher and Wolverine in the 1980s. The 90s took that stuff and turned it into cheap gimicks which is why we all see through it now.

I know that.  The point I'm making is that they should stop overdoing it, like they did in the 90s.
