Wll...i really like shooter games, especialy when you are using bullets instead of a laser shoot, but anyway, guns are fun

shotgun, handgun, lightsaber, sniper rifle, magnum etc. what i really like is to kill a masive number of enemies, of any type, zombies, aliens, stormtroopers, locusts omg this are my choices...

1.-Halo 3
2.-Left 4 dead
3.-Star Wars battlefront II
4.-Resident evil 5
5.-Gears of war 2

This list is flawd. Nowhere is there any version of Call Of Duty listed.

when i think of best shooters... i look at fun factor... if it's not truly fun then it's no good...

so i would have to say Postal 2 is at the top of my list.... great FPS!

1)COD4 (sorry MW2 sucks and I have not played WOW)
2) Battlefield bad company series
3) Battlefield series in general!
4)Bioshock (come on no list is complete without this!)
5)Doom (may rise on my list when Doom4 comes out!)
6)Halo series (brought FPS's to the consoles and made it easy!)
7)Quake
8)Gears of war series
9)Mass effect (its still a shooter but with RPG elements!)
10)Turok series (come on who doesn't like hunting dinosaurs?)

These are in no particular order just some FPS's and shooters in general that I love.

CoD is too overrated, Yes some of its games are awesome, But I had more fun with Resistance 2, And Uncharted 2 than with MW2

I don't have a top five but I have some favourites:

Uncharted series (IF they count as shooters)
Resistance (Only 2, 1 sucked IMO)
Metal Gear Solid series
BioShock
Gears of War
Borderlands
Black
Killzone 2
Resident Evil series
Unreal Tournament series
Dead Space
GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, And IV (and again, IF they count as shooters)
Metal Slug series (Specially X and 3)
Bonus: Duke Nukem, Doom (SNES)

And probably some more I can't think of ATM.

Most of those lists are flawed. Why the hell is every game on most of those lists from 2008 or 2009. Classic like unreal & Doom is what started all of this.

Before making a list like this, you must say what Shooter Games stands for: if it's for FPS Shooters, Run-n-Guns or Shoot-em-Ups.

very little experience with shooters but my faves are these

1. Resident evil 5 (face it its a shooter not a survival)
2. resistance 2
3. modern warfare 2

Played many more but i dont have a top 5 yet heh

Call of duty modern warfare
halo series
resident evil series
gears of war series

I'm gonna go with:

1 - Call of Duty 4 & 6 (5 was just a rushed mod of 4)

2 - Gears of War 1 (2 sucked since they changed all the weapon damages, esp. the shotgun)

3 - Unreal Tournament 3

4 - Bioshock

5 - Tie between the Quakes, Duke Nukems, Dooms, and Shadow Warriors

therer's tons of other really good ones like Kill Zone, GUNZ and more, but those are my top five, at least as of right now.
