I reckon it's a good idea to have an avatar contest & I think the best way to do it is to post a minimum and maximum size for the avatars being entered. Either in th erules or week by week.

I do think that templates should be allowed though, this is IMT after all.

same goes for the sprite making but the sprite of the week contest is doing good.

The sprite contest does good because I basically laid down the #1 rule from the beginning of the comp . No BS from anyone .

Ice is already starting here & the contest hasn't even been set up yet

Ice was just saying that there are some members here who really shine when it comes to avatars and I can understand that but I still think it's a good idea to have a competition.

Some of can animate and others cant. Some make hi-quality stuff and others cant. Some are sloppy and others arent. Catch my drift? Oh by the way... Im in the category that animates.

Look at the sprite contests . There are creators of different levels of ability that enter . Some are better at comic characters , some sprite from scratch , etc ....

But they all enter together & no one usually complains about anything . that's the key to a good comp in my opinion .

you would have a week... and unless the avy is going to be "god like" I don't think you will be rushed at all... unless your really busy or lazy

Answers for some questions. In the avatar contest the winner gets to pick and he/she can pick whether it's animated or not.

the animated or not aint gonna be fun for everyone since not everyone can animate... unless you said it this way "he/she can pick if the next weeks contest will alow animation or not"

sometimes animated avatars suck butt

it ruins quality at times so you dont need to worry
