As far as i understand, you cant anymore.
You can rename your account, but there will be no deletion of it.

well if you really wont to just click on to you profile and on the left side in the list of links, change profile, view recent post etc. you will see delete this account.

No one can just delete their account. It has to be approved by IMT. I see no reason to request account deletion from any member. If you are tired of mugen or something take a break. But you never know if you may want to come back here one day. If your account is deleted, your not going to be able to come back

As far as I remember IMT does not want people to delete there accounts and then come back under a different name because it could potentially be a security risk. but I could be entirely wrong but I remember that being said in a way when a certain person went through those delete account bouts.

but I guess if it is indeed true its probably only in regards to the section we get when we get promoted to a certain rank. Again I could be entirely wrong my memory is pretty fragmented so if I am wrong just ignore me.

thats a dumb reason. i could bright now create a new account with the name pricncessassmouthlordofpancakes4 and have two accounts then.

Another reason being is that a user my claim the are quiting, then come back in another account and possibly attempt to spam threads or somewhat sabatoge the fourms.

This actually happened in the past when infinity was a phppB board before changing to smf a bunch of users for possibly wanting to get back @ infinity due to their past history spammed tube girl images all over the forum back in 07.

So DT's reason he mentioned could be for that one reason or similar, to avoid retarded crap like that and yes their are ppl out their who are stupid enough to do dumb things like that sadly.

Rage please don't discuss that m8. Anyways even tho you can do that there are ways to still trace the IP. Basically with anything on a computer its nothing but a cat and mouse game. One person hides something the other person hacks it, then that person trys to do something and the other person learns and uses a different way. The cycle keeps repeating itself over and over again.

I just didn't  want to type out all the details. But you are correct Syn. These are some of the reasons why we do not want people with multiple accounts & deleting accounts & signing up again. That's why the Infinity mugen team has to approve all requests for deletion.

Yes some people are stupid enough to do things like that. You try to keep a forum that people like & where everyone can enjoy themselves, but there will always be people who try to ruin things for everyone. W try not to let that happen here.

Those techniques are not fool proof either, we can usually figure it out.
