Its just a small demo to show how the gameplay, music, and other stuff is going to be. Think of it like a sneak peek.

^^(PM)^ I'm plenty happy with what they've got so far, and with all the work they've put into it, the least you could be about the news is grateful that they even take the time out of their lives to do this project.

Are these versions of Chun Li and Ryu still going to have stand alone downloads?

They could be but the way they are coded due to the tag states give you a constant debug flood if not used in the team versus simul. mode.. O and myself have tried to remedy this with no success. but i have no problems releasing my characters if and when Nestor wants to but it would have to be after the first release.(i want the full game to be remain the focus)

for me the demo release is for bug testing of the tag systems: Partner Tag, Partner Assist, Delayed Hyper Combo, Team Hyper Combo and Snapback Features. since they are so intertwined we need the bugs ironed out before
releasing/working on alot of characters...That just my take on it.

It's better you have your patience in waiting rather than just rushing them to make the game look crap. It's a demo they are releasing. It doesn't mean all characters you like will be in as fast. There are a LOT of new characters that are in progress.

Yes, like MGMURROW said, we'll probably release the chars as stand alone after the game is done, most (if not every one) of them. And exactly, the main focus of the demo is to test the system so far. There're other demos coming later, with chars like Batsu, Fiona, Morrigan and Hiryu on them.

It's okay, man. :) Demos are for feedback and improvement of the game. For first timers who release a demo, they would have anyone to try out and see whether they think they like it or not, depending on any that comes to mind. Giving feedbacks really helps creators to improve their skills so that they can make them really good, SO that next time they can release another demo with better improvement. That's what demos are for.

thats true enso . but there have been a few low info points and for a full game to have as many originally sprited characters as it has i dont think any one thinks this is going to go the distance.

if we have to wait till all of them are done being sprited and coded we can just silently agree this will be done some time after never. half wip threads go no were and there for 1 character.

as a individual with a healthy level of skepticism i assume this has become a fake screen shot thread for felo and nestor .i may start my own thread with half finished characters that will never be released

glad thats an opinion and not the actual truth.  :D

lets see, hmmm. I have seen from many years gone by wips stopped, started and then released. the ones that take their time to make a good product come out alot better than those that rush because people want it now and when they want it . that doesnt help the creators at all. It takes alot of time to make characters that havent been done before, newly sprited ones for a particular style, conversions and not even getting into coding it all.

Its not all 1,2,3,4,5 go! its alot more work ethic and time to make something realized. Real life always trump this hobbie we seem to be very passionate about. If no one can understand that then it becomes a personal problem, not the creators. i for one am patient enuff to wait on something worth wild. i praise all the people who take a large and small portion of their time and love to make something for all of us who DL it to enjoy at our leisure, especially if we didnt do anything to help with it being made on deck with the team efforts. keep on cool peoples with this project.  My humble opinion.   :)

Smh..its not a fake screen shot thread. I understand what your saying but still...I'm not going to go real deep into that but I'll say that there is progress being made. Some characters are in the beginning stages, some are almost done, and some are completely done. We've got stages done and original music. They're trying to get the tag system and other things done right for the game. The demo that's being released will help with that and give an idea of what we've got planned. You can start a fake screen shot thread if you want though.

Who would benefit from a fake screenshot thread? Nestor and FeLo aren't the only people working on this project. The time i have put into coding the and my characters/spriting and tag system(along with help and direction from the other members), nestor's coding/spriting/directions, FeLo's spriting, O's coding/spriting/direction, MDD's palettes..ETC. This is not just a cookie-cutter/compilation game.

I could take one of my completed characters(not for this game) and it will take just as much time to convert it into the template as it did to create the character in the first place and i helped code the template. i can only imagine the others having to use the template and read all the DOC's for it them create their characters for this project...HATS OFF TO YOU GUYS.

If we don't release updates every day or so, it's because we're busy, and also, we're working as much and as good as we can with the game.

Let's see... what characters makes you think about it?
- Frank West.- some progress done, now he have a palette separation (I was planning to post some shots this week even).
- Rouge.- WIP by Li Kun, in very early phase. He already have a good amount of sprites done, though.
- Axl.- sprite revamping is coming soon, by Rage, but there's already a sprite set done for him.
- Kyoko.- Li Kun is still working on her, but he decided to focus on Tiffany and Fiona for a while.
- Hinata.- done, and she's going to be one of my next characters to code once I finish my actual WIP's.
- Cutman.- he'll have more sprites, still, what he have right now is some good amount of stuff.
- Lou.- done, and waiting to be coded in the new template.
- Poison.- riccochet is working on the new set of sprites.

Like these cases, Batsu, Viper, Tiffany, Fiona, Viewtiful Joe, Leon, Chris and Zero, to name a few, are receiving, in more or less quantity, progress from time to time.

I'll upload a new video today also, showing the progress done so far with Chun and Leo. I was expecting to make it for friday, good enough, MGMURROW send me an update for Chun-Li yesterday.

UPDATE.

Tag mode test 2.
