Demon Crest being one of his favorite game Tiago Frossard undertook this character for Mugen, based on the Red Arremer sprites from Snk vs. Capcom. Tiago enlisted The Great Matsutzu to do the sprite edits while he was going to code the character. After Tiago decided to leave Mugen, Scar and I took over the unfinished characters. After The Great Matsutzu finished edited the current set of sprites, he sent them over to me to program. I also ended up edited a new bunch of sprites for various additional attacks, specials and hypers. Each of the hypers are based off of Demon Crests that can be aquired in the Demon Crest game.
Descended from the Demon Realm, Firebrand was raised to seek power and to become the last demon standing. Following his defeat in the earth realm by the Knight Arthur, Firebrand returned to his own realm and succeeded in defeating every other gargoyle demon for the right to own the Demon Crests. Now as the possessor of the Water and Earth Crest, Firebrand continues to fight on a quest to secure the remaining demon quests in order to form them into the Infinity Crest with unmatched, infinite power. Firebrand is not an evil creature, he simply does what any other gargoyle demon would do, only he does it better.

Firebrand and Red Arremer are the same character, both the villian from Ghosts 'n Ghouls as well as the protagonist of Demon Crest. Eventually I'd like to give Firebrand too additional Hypers based on Demon Crests.
