the Tag Team mod program help

im talking about the one from this site which allows to switch between characters in 2on2. I get that you have to set a def file for tag team for whichever character you want. I put it on two of my characters to try it out however i dont know which buttons i need to press or to even check if it works. I config is the arrows and the buttons are the number pads 1-6.
