Music help for title and select screens

Hey there all.

 The stage music works just fine. (thankfully) but for some reason the title screen, character select screen, and the vs screen won't play my mp3 files but they play midi tunes just fine. I direct the command line to the sound directory the correct way. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I'm missing regarding mp3's for title screen, select screen, and vs screens?

If your stage music is working, you probably have the correct plugins.  Check just in case

Another thing to check is your loop settings.  I think the default is set to 0, but just play around with it to find out what works best for you.  Also, verify that the mp3s you're using are not corrupted.

I don't think my music is corrupted as the same tunes work in stages. I know I have the correct setup and I tried loops 1-5 with no avail.

here's what I have it set as for select screen
select.bgm = sound/DS3Select.mp3
select.bgm.loop = 0       

No music at select screen whatsoever. I'm stummped.

are you runing vista? it might be the problem

i've got same mugen on my pc (xp) and laptop (vista) and music doesn't work well (same as you) on the laptop

sadly, i haven't found a solution yet
