Well, there's not as much as a Christian influence in Japan as there is in America, I mean for all we know the writer could be from a completely different religion, but I don't know about that. Don't get me wrong I mean, Japan and America are great business partners, but that's about it. I mean Americans, all we really do is support stuff made in japan, like games, dvd players, tv's, manga, anime, films (Example: Ringu/Ring), other than Media, Religion in America and Japan could be a issue (but not really I guess since they help us in the war against Iraq), all I know is that the major religious influences in Japan are Buddhism and Shinto.

America got it's Christianity mainly from Europe. America went to help fight off the Japanese in The Philippines and somehow, the Philippines have Catholic churches and such. My fiancee was born in the Philippines and she pretty much told me so.

I mean it just seems kind of out of the ordinary to see a manga of Jesus, in Japan when you will have the I section next to the J section, which has Inuyasha, Inuyasha exploits some Shinto beliefs, such as the grandpa who runs the shrine. Although I think it might be interesting.
