RMM: Now Hiring programmers and designers...

Robot Master Mayhem is ramping up and we're trying a few different things this time around. We are looking to bring on a few specialists who would like to join in on this project and take on particular rolls throughout the life of the project (or until the first release at least). Below are the openeings that we are looking for.

* AI Programmer - must have experience programming mugen AI and have a desire to work in the Mugen 1.0 environment.

* Tester - a person who will not only test and find bugs but whowill also be able to deduce the cause of the bug, perferably a programmer. If a pool of canidates are accepted a Lead Tester will be assigned.

* Lead Sound Engineer - the person in charge of organizing all the sound tracks, setting the bit rate, and bringing in voice tallent for a variety of rolls.

* Lead Stage Engineer - an experiences stage programmer who can format the project stages, chose or remove stages and work with the sound engineer to complete the overall feel of the game.

* Designer - a person who can not only imagine how a screen might look but who can develop the elements (through the use of software) that the programmers will use to build the vision.

I'll sign up as a bug tester, though if you need help, I'll do some programming.  I'm not the best with it, but I know what works and what doesn't, at the very least.

I up for being a tester. I might not be the best tester in the word. But, I'm awesome with fighter Factory. I'll be able to find any bugs and what is causing them.

Also as for a Designer. I have a Degree in Graphic Design and Communication. I have been using Vselect and Downloading Megaman Chars from around the web. I've come up with a layout that can hold the 100+ Chars from the Megaman series. ( I included the Stardroind King's robots, The Megakillers, Buster Rod G, Hyper Storm H, Mega Water S and the Dimensions from Rockman & Forte: Challenger From the Future)

I'm kind of a Megaman Junkie.
I plan to see ALL the Master Robots RMM style one way or another before I die.

your fishing without bait. What do you need designed

The designers will be asked to do the following over time:
1) Finalize the design on the intro, which a programmer will later impliment
2) Compile and complete all character portraits
3) Layout the select screen once the roster is decided
4) Perhaps design new FX such as super jump, wall hit, launcher and hyper spark
5) Make suggestions on fight screen elements such as text font and lifebars
6) Cordinate with Stage Engineer to provide extra stage elements as necessary
5) Closer to the end compile the graphics necessary for game endings

Good, cause I remember getting IMT's MvC full game ages ago, around the JudgeSpear era, and it was around a gig to download!  Mostly due to characters using their own effects instead of sharing them from the fight FX.  But that was years ago, and people are bound to learn from their mistakes.

Nice to know there are some Rockman resources over at the Unlimited. I'll probably get together with you and run an idea by you and see what can be worked out.

If there are any coders with experience that are interested in coding a full character for RMM please let myself or Acey know.  Thee are quite a few characters that have the sprites ready and are just waiting to be coded.  There are also some characters like Metalman and Crashman that need to be recoded on the RMM template.

I think they're using Powered Up VOs for the game.

Powered up only provides voices for Megaman 1 characters.  There are plenty of other characters from later Megaman games that will need custom voice work.  For example Snakeman only has Japanese voices so I will be using that until if and when some custom English voices are recorded.  Off the top of my head I know Topman and some others that are close to having the sprites finished that will eventually need custom voice work too.

In the future once RMM gets where it needs to be and I finish Needleman maybe I can help you guys out in some way to return the favor.  I know a certain DC character I have always wanted to try and make (or help a certain someone make) ever since playing DC characters in Mugen.
