Now announcing Favorite Fiction Blog's first ever sprite contest. This will be posted throughout the different Mugen communities, so each will have their own self contained contest with results posted on Favorite Fiction Blog, and then a sort of battle of the champions poll there.

The theme for the contest, characters discussed in the "What if?...MUGENized" series.

The following is a breakdown of the characters discussed in each article and the theme of each particular entry. You can use these as reference material, or other sources like wiki, comicvine, whatever.

Rules
-Can either submit directly into the thread or with a pm to me
-Can use whatever sources, but if using non-open source sprite edits, please be sure to get permission first
-You can submit previous work that you have made in the past
-You can submit as many entries as you'd like
-Each communities mods/admins can adjust these rules that fit their forum better

The last week of the month, each submission will be voted on by the community and winners will then be posted on Favorite Fiction Blog as part of a best of the best sort of thing. And yes, you can submit the same sprite edits for the contest at multiple communities (in fact, this is encouraged)

Altering things a bit. Submissions accept through the entire month of July, then voting will commence in early August. Selections from that voting will then be taken to Favorite Fiction Blog and voted on against other similar entries from other forums.

Just to clear up a couple questions that have been asked that other may have had.

- You can use any outfit you want, all that matters is the character in general
- No section contest, as in, all entries will be judged against one another regardless if its from the Batman/Superman entry, or the Outside Marvel and DC one.
- Does not matter if someone else is doing the same character
- You can submit whatever to FF_Blog@yahoo.com if you'd prefer

And remember:
- You can submit previous work you did, no need to sprite something new that fits the list from before
- Can submit to as many forums as you'd like
- Entries due 11:59pm July 31st and will be voted on the week preceding it.
- Selections from each forum (winners and other notables) will then be voted on here afterwards

Finally, when you take the next link, there will be a comment about one forum having a cash prize for this contest.

Jay_High, yes, from that list due to the theme being characters discussed in the What If articles at Favorite Fiction Blog.

The reason why SpiderMew's other sprites are there is because he initially misunderstood something that I had implied instead of my stating directly.

And in an effort to help create more participation, the winner here at IMT will be able to choose a future WIP Focus article that was done similarly to this article on Scorpion: http://mmcelhaney-fiction.blogspot.com/2009/07/wip-focus-scorpion-by-hobgoblin.html

...but obviously you choose a different WIP to be featured.

Of Sic's sprites, the only one that qualifies is Green Lantern Batman. I said the theme of the contest was characters featured in the What If series written at Favorite Fiction Blog.
