Yes you can do transparency with gimp. Heck you can turn one whole color transparent if you wanted to, helps with making neet effects.

While using blur, not as much as the others. I kinda liked my use of blur in the Jenet Avs.

Some fractals now.

First Art with Sprite. Used blur, dodge, sharpen and glow.
