Using KFM as a base question
« on: June 07, 2008, 11:16:51 AM »
Okay so my character is using KFM for a base. Problem I have is that Im trying to code a jump backwards. Theres an anim for it, but nothing in the code. In fact all I could find was the air jump start code, and editing it doesnt do anything that I can see, so Im bumming because i cant find the jump codes to edit.

Anyone out there whos edited KFM know where the code is that designates the jump?

the code is in the common.cns

no need to code it, unless you want to customize, then overide it in state 50.

Kong is right: its the state 50, that change the anims based on your velocity

The same thing goes for KFM's default dash foward and dash back, those are also found in the common1.cns, Those also need to be edited to your satisfaction as well.

Figured I'd point that out since we are on the subject of editing KFM's basic files as base.

See i dont see a state 50 anywhere? The reason I need to code it because it uses the jump up for the jump back anim. My spriter wants a specific animation for the jump back. Any idea why theres not a state 50???

Also is there a command Changestate for it? Im trying to code this similar to mika's jump set, even adding similar constants it does not change.

add the common1 to the kfm (the common1 is on one of the folders of mugen).

The common1 has all the basic stuff coded like walk, jump, etc.
