Beat 'em ups?

Captain Commando (SNES/ MAME version)
Final Fight series (Final Fight for MAME/ Final Fight and Final Fight Guy if you're gonna play SNES, FF2, FF3)
Battle Toads (And Battle Toads/Double Dragon for SNES)
TMNT (MAME)
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (MAME)
Sunset Riders (cowboy-style, SNES version is better.)
Knights of the Round (Sega Genesis and SNES.)
Silent Dragon (MAME)
Power Rangers: The Movie (Sega Genesis)
Alien Storm (Sega Genesis)
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (I know it on MAME, but there must be console versions. Features tracks from "Thriller")
Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja (MAME, but there must be console versions)
The Simpsons (MAME)

Tekken 3 for PSX has a Beat 'em up mode named "Tekken Force", awesome indeed.

Females?

Alien Storm, Final Fight 2 has Maki, Guy's sister, and Final Fight 3 has Lucia, a cop. And Power Rangers: The Movie has many Pink and Yellow rangers (Eg: Trini, Aisha) depending on the mission you play, and The Simpsons obviously has Marge and Lisa.

on top of those games mentioned
there's
TMNT(the newer cartoon,not the movie game) 1 2 and 3 for PS2
3 is actually 4 players
while 1 & 2 are 2 players (TMNT 1 btw has a VS. mode!)

Final Fight Streetwise has
"Arcade mode" (it's NOT the original Final Fight btw)
which is 2 players
It's got
Cody Guy Hagger and Kyle (Cody's brother)

and of course

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks!

Well this one is on Sega Saturn and in my opinion is the best Beat em up/Rpg there ever was.

Guardian Heroes Best RPG/Beat Em up you'll ever find.TRUST me.I would know I had it back then.Boy it was the best.
