Author Topic: Help trying to get some effect sprites for my char. (Read 687 times)

Alright so, I'm now to this forum but not at MUGEN and I'm trying to make/edit a char (my first one) but I got this Rare Akuma (for example) and I want to have some of its effect sprites for my own char just like the "Evil" thingie comming out from his body or something like blue-ish fire comming out from my char's eyes.

So, my BIG question is... how can I transfer or get/make the sprites from some chars and successfully add them to my own char and make them work properly?

Or if some good person would like to teach me how to make and add them to my char, that would be awesome.

So, that's all... for now.

Download Mugen Character Maker.
Open The Sff.
Export All The Sprites.

that fire coming out of the eyes is off of god akuma. he has that.

And I'm watching an awesome "how to create a char with ff" tutorial.

This is gonna be awesome, when I get done with some special effects I'm going to post the first beta of my character.

Edit: Oh yeah, I still have one question, because I can't find the correct answer, how can I add the special effects to my chars?

you have to separate the fx into pcx files, add those to the sff, add the animation for the fx to the air, use tranparencies if necessary. Then code the fx in the charactres state as an explod or helper if you want.

If you have the skills you can make awesome fx in whaterever image editor program.....if you dont, you shall use a program named particle ilussion

Mate I suggest that you check first the narutorials (that you can find in mugenguild in cyanide page......then check the kfm and the docs, so you have an idea on what you are doing)
