Well, supposedly they are working on a new 2010 series, but the reason they are NOT doing Samurai Sentai Shinkenger is because it would be to complicated to redo it for the US audience (Shinkenger deals with a LOT of traditional Japanese history and culture...and while they have been able to rewrite other Super Sentai series to apply to the US audience, MANY, including myself, believe that is not a likely nor a successful move for this particular series). Therefore it is likely that either they are gonna just run MMPR as the 2010 series and wait to see what the next Super Sentai series will be, or MMPR is just kinda a filler for now and there will be a US exclusive series for 2010...thought I don't think the later is likely, it is a possibility. I too am glad that they brought back MMPR as I LOVED that series myself. I have watched EVERY season in the US and while I didn't HATE any particular season (though I really didn't like Wild Force and Lost Galaxy was sorta hit and miss with me, and Zeo tended to bore me more times than not in the first half of that series) I have to say that I preferred MMPR to most all others. Kudos to Disney for brining it back and showing the current generation where it all started (in the US anyway).

Well at least it's up to DVD quality now. The logo looks ok, but I like the old one better. The character intros are better, but the "go" with the rangers in a crappy background needs to go. If they find it too difficult to do the japanese version of the show can I suggest going animated with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Disney put them Marvel artist to work at Marvel studios because you own them!

No but really, I agree...LOVE the nostalgia! HATE the cheesy effects . Well, it's still kinda early and the reports say that Namco Bandai was the one that spilled the beans about a deal with Disney for the 2010 Power Ranger series toys. I'm assuming that the show has SECRETLY (wow...companies are still able to pull that off?) been in production and it may be another late release like last year (RPM didn't debut on ABCFamily til mid March last year...this wouldn't mean much if DisneyXD still showed Power Rangers as ToonDisney/Jetix did. But, this is all just speculation and rumors really. Though it would shed some light on the much rumored/much talked about/much intrigued Power Ranger anime of last year...maybe this will be the year they go anime. Or at least for this one season anyway. I'm thinking maybe they should skip making a new Ranger series this year and maybe focus on trying to introduce one of the many other Super Sentai series in Japan. Would LOVE to see an American version of Kamen Rider Decade...of course that would mean we would need 8 or 9 more Americanized seasons first. Maybe they should just dub the Japanese versions...sorta like kung fu movies...which begs the question as to why they haven't just done that with previous Super Sentai series already ...sorry enough of my ramblings. Anyone else?
