Release notes

12/02/2009 - Minor update

Stage has been slightly optimized. Added in a few extra character images
in the back part of the first floor, and outside of the stage. This update
is a minor cosmetic update. No serious changes have been made yet. It
is compensation for my absence, due to life issues.


What's left? - finishing off this stage.

It's an update. May not be much of one, but it is. I ain't dead yet

I like the new additions, even though they are graphical. I'm sure the finished product will rock even more

Thanks. This stage will receive about 4 or 5 more updates, before it's completely finished. I'd like to start working on the animated parts for the stage in general. Mainly speaking, the animations for background characters on the inside, outside & on the 2nd floor of the stage. Also, at least working on making any background characters to have some kind of shadow or reflection on the floor. It's not completely impossible to do this. It just depends on what is used.


Someone asked me in a PM on Youtube, if the second floor itself was ever going to be accessible. As in making the characters fight on that level of the stage. While it is a very nice idea, that would mean the stage has to be interactive, along the lines of what Bane84 was able to do, on his NES themed stages. I've not gotten that far into creation to achieve this yet. However, with a stage of this caliber, it seems possible. With the right help of course.

The extra stuff like animated characters, and characters reflecting on the ground or casting a shadow is definitely possible, although it will take some time. As for making the 2nd floor interactive, it'll take a lot of work for it to work right. That'll be an ambitious endeavor if that's the direction you want to go with it, although I'm satisfied if the stage remains the way it is + the extra updates. Along with Bane84, you could always drop a line to SyN about tips or help with making the stage interactive.

Good luck with the final product. It's already turning out to be a very nice stage with some groovy ideas

Well, this is a stage that has been on my mind to update, for quite some time. The original version "In The Bar", was an alright start. But, I needed a way to make it more like a lounge, in all aspects. There was one beta I was making in particular, that was slated to be the actual Renegade Lounge. Though I've decided to use the beta, for my story making.

These shots, are from what was a beta, and is going to be used in a video I'm working on. It may be a possible stage release until then.




The stage is about equal length to the current one in this stage. But it looks more suited to be a classy place.




Yes, the image in this pic, does cycle through 4 shots. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who it is in the pic. the image also reflects on the floor. This image below, is of the far right of the stage.




This image below, is of the far left. where the actual bar is.




These 4 shots, are what was to be the original design for The Renegade Lounge. But, it was the added ideas, that brought out what was put in the first post. Make it a real lounge for renegade fighters.

I may make this stage in these 4 images an official release, if enough response is held.

Late in responding, but I like the ideas you showed in those 4 pics. I think it would make a good boss stage for characters like Geese Howard

yeah, the stage that is in those four images, is actually complete now. However, I'm not sure how complete I want it to be. I'm more than sure there is more that can be added to it, before I make it an official release.
