I figured they would wate untill they finaly get this Cap movie in the works.
Like as a susprize, when the movie finaly is close to coming out they bring back Steve Rogers to boost both sales of tickets and comics.

Not to sure on that, there were some issues that cap met and fought an actor who like the real life serial used a gun, but Cap didnt. There were a couple issues were a holster was drawn on him, like Batman used to I believe.



Trust me Marvel wont be much differant, and Cap will be back in 2008, at the latest summer 2009. This has been planned from the start, I would guess shortly after DC kills off Bruce Wayne.

Tony Stark (Iron-Man) found a picture of Captain America and on the back it said something about Bucky (Winter Soldier) and keeping Cap.'s legacy going. Odds are its the Winter Soldier's take on Cap.'s Suit.

Captain America did use a gun a "coons age" ago...even used Thor's Hammer during The Age of Apocolypse, but no sword.

Your hypothesis could be right.

I want Rogers back... and all this story started just because the Marvel guys didn't know what to do with him. Donkey fans wanted him to be on the streets protesting against Bush and Elephant fans wanted him to be in Iraq. So they decided to kill him to keep those political issues cold.

I personally (not being an American) think the same as the Democrats. After all, Cap was taken into suspended animation by S.H.I.E.L.D. because he opposed to the bomb launch on WWII. And protested against the Vietnam War as well. He stands for justice and freedom - he stands for America. Those were not righteous wars - and Iraq isn't either.

Hope no one is offended please, just a personal opinion without flaming anyone/anything.

seriously though, I think they more killed him to make a statement about what america had become. They could just as easily have ran with the "steve rogers is still stuck in the 1940's way of thinking and doesn't belong here" angle that they were digging up in frontline.

Actually Buckey as Captain America is doing very well. A lot of "comic fans" who actually read comics, and not just gripe about them are hoping James sticks around as Cap.
