MvC2 Kirby beta updated

well ive been working on this for a school project for abit and decided that i want some feedback, ill upload it to my mispace eventually
old vid:(to lazy to make a  new one right now)

note: about grabing, you must press a direction aftr you grab inorder to do any of his four grabs
updated
added new super
took out G&W special and turned it into a super
combo system has been updated

still need to fix fireballs and need to add palfx and sound

From the looks of things from the video you posed, this looks like it must have be a fun project.. and by that , I mean it must be interesting figuring out how to go about certain attacks to make Kirby feel more like he does in the Smash Bros. games.

My apologies on not having more constructive feeback, as (unfortunatley) my access to Mugen itself is rather limited at the moment because my computer that plays it is going through HD failure. But what I can see from the video, it looks as if Kirby's attacks are about what they should be. The directial button with the throws is a very nice touch, as that is per Smash.

One question: how does Kirby go about the swallowing of enemies? Is this something that you haven't implemented yet? From the video, it looks like Kirby can use the ablities of his fellow Smasher (ie, Pikachu, Mr. Game and watch) at any time. This is a good option, because it cuts down on a lot of interplay of compatiablity you'd have to do to get Kirby working right against certain opponents, especially give the fact that not all of the opponents Kirby could copy in SSB have been ported to Mugen.

For the swallowing technique, what you could do (if you are inclined to include it) is to make it a throw of sorts with customized animation (during which, at one point, the opponent would be invisible, then shot out like a star when Kirby spits them back out.

I like the customized sprites, they add an original feel to the work.

currently the sucking power is disabled in this version of kirby, but you can get the ssbm styled kirby with the sucking power at ascendedmugen.com

already have it complete in the coding

I like the customized sprites, they add an original feel to the work.
thanks they arent done by me though, they are done by Boss lagomorph and some by carmel

Great! I had a feeling it would be included. :)

Now that you mention it, I seem to remember one of the spriters had posted a topic about this project some time ago at Mugen history (I think I might've commented on it then). Please give them my regards on their hard work. ;)
