:o Street Fighter is reclaiming it's territory as the World Warriors fight their way into Marvel vs. Capcom! Blanka the bouncing baby from Brasil is updated with controlls more similar to his Super Street Fighter II counterpart, bug fixes and an all new intro sceen that gives a list of Blanka's attacks.

ah i see i predicted the future with my mind about a blanka update...or rather i said i wanted one (i think thats what i said) i tested it out already and so far no bugs but will post if i see any

Wow.....This as totally unexpected for me. Another char who rightfully deserved to be in Capcom's roster during the versus series. Already DL'ed. Great release. :thumbsup:

update eh? good to hear. Been hoping for an update, there was a couple of bugs in the original release that were strange but funny :P
Hopefully those were fixed, and I love the fact that he has a move intro, similar to other characters I've seen here & there.

for some reason i cant do blankas hyper moves with a controller ~X( but keybord works fine ;) I woder what the problem is

Some things on Blanka.......
-Can cancel his Comboing Hyper, with Specials. Though the Hyper Electricity is fine.
-Unless actually performing an air combo, Blanka can only attack once in the air. He then freezes in that state, leaving him wide open for attack.

Thats what I said.I used a controller but I could not do the hyper combos for some reason 8)

Well I was playing with him last night on the Logitech controller that looks like a PS2 controller And his hyper moves did not actavate with the commands ~X( So I put the old Blanka command fille on the one you just released and copyed the airflow data and he work fine after that. 8)

It seems there are some troubles comboing into the hyper, other that that it seems to work on various controllers and keyboards... I added a trigger that should help you out a little on the move. Let me know if this works or not

I Tried your update but the same problem is there with no hypers on controllers :(

I can peform his Hypers with a controller...... So I don't know about this. Even before this quick update, I could still do them.

his electric move both the special one and the hyper one cannot be blocked at all. he practically killed me in the corner and even when i rolled away he took 1 step back and did it again. and his grab hyper last a little too long. his ai is fine but imo it should be even more unpredictable so he be as random as he was in his old street fighter years

You have to block straight backwards, rathern than down back, a crouch block won't block it. I agree that this needs to be changed.
Street Fighter 101, always crouch block except when the opponent is leaping in.

I started off as a Chun Li, Blanka player, eventually learned to ShoRyuKen and became a Ken player. Everyone else I learned just because with Zangief being the last I got ahold of. About a year after that I really learned the power of Guile and he is on my top tier now. I was playing on my xbox last night as Ken... ah the memories.

Cool, It's nice to know a little about what characters you play Acey :) I'm a Guile, Chun-li and Blanka player myself...in fact I've been a Blanka player since the very beginning. I just took to him right off the bat...while most everyone else back when SF2 came out were in to Ryu and Ken or Chun-li, I picked the brazilian beast as my first character to learn and I still play him to this day...I just love this character and I especially love your version Acey ;D

You know when SF2 came out (which is telling my age lmao) hardly noone used Blanka (except for the really good people or the outsiders who didn't wanna jump on the Ken bandwagon and p'wn people). I didn't even use him (i found favor with Chun-Li - which hasn't changed), but I always loved his fighting style. Grown up now and looking back. I have an even deeper appreciation for that crazy Brazilian style (which escapes my mind atm) Blanka's got. It's been hellish finding a Blanka who's AI properly utilized all of his basic kicks and punches. I haven't been let down by any of the charas I've used and played with on here (as I do not exactly look for accuracy, just really solid gameplay and an intriguing AI), so I'm anxious, as well as excited about checking out this Blanka. Like Guile, Blanka's style of fighting is abstract, yet beautiful to watch, from his weakest kick to his strongest super. I agree with the posters as well about bringing back that old school flavor some of us recognized and valued from the arcades shellin out mad quarters, to the creators here on this site and abroad that busted long butt hours ripping sprites and programming then onto MUGEN especially with the hopes of getting down the feel. Sorry for the long-winded post, but, I just wanted to give the proper appreciation for Blanka, accuracy or not... because I know he's one of those that are a classic in a class by themselves.

and i totally agree. i hate facing against him because his style is so unpredicatable and hard to get used to unless ur using guile or balrog imo.
