Which name do you prefer for our favorite Street Fighter Villian?
-
I call it Vega
-
Just for once I'll agree with the Americans (I think they changed the names) on that matter: M(aster) Bison sounds better. Because otherwise Vega would be Balrog and that's not a suitable name for a spanish fighter.
-
M. Bison sounds better to me...I grew up witht that, but even now, it just FITS better to me.
-
I use Bison because I don't wanna be like all those weeaboos.
-
M.Bison
-
M.Bison is cool but isnt he also known as Dictator?
-
I call him Mr. Bison. :D
-
Bison
-
I rather go with M.Bison because I grew up playing video games and I always go by the names given here in America. Besides, Vega just doesn't fit right for him.

I prefer Bison because when I hear Vega I think of the claw dude and when I hear balrog I think of the boxer. I keep it that way otherwise it just becomes confusing :-??

And i usually get my fighting games as soon as they came out, which is the japanese ver.,
so i'm kinda used to their japanese names LOL
-
masta bison?

...So I shouldn't call Megaman Rockman anymore 'cause it'd make me sound like a wannabe japanese person?
ONTOPIC: I say Bison.

That makes sense but importing games was probably a bit more unknown back in those days.
I didn't get into imported games until I saw all the DBZ games for Playstation
Personally Bison sounds more villain-ish to me because Vega sounds like Vegetable but shorter.
That and Las Vegas.
It's weird though because I prefer to call Gouki by his japanese name. I was never really fond of the name Akuma. I know it means devil, but it doesn't really suit Gouki because of the angel sign on his back.

If you wanna call him Rockman go ahead. Yeesh. :|
Just let me have my opinion.

I'm in the same boat on this one, Vega really just doesn't right at all. M.Bison all the way ;D

It was assumed to stand for "Master", although in reality (since was originally made for the boxer)
it stands for "Mike"

WTF... It doesn't mean "angel", it means "heaven"! but it is also referred to as a symbol for "immortal","invincibility","day", and"ten". And either way his name means demon, Gouki = demon! L-)

M.Bison. Just sounds cool for that type of villain.
-
If it were Vega, this wouldnt be as funny
-
It's really more genralized towards your region of homeland, and what you are used to. Though, yeah..... I'd go with M. Bison over Vega. :D

Actually Megaman IS meant to be called Rockman. So the whole cast makes sense: Rockman + Roll: Rock'n'Roll (Duh) + Bass + Treble + Blues.

:D Yea, I was just going to comment on that, but I was beat to it. Megaman sounds fine, and so does Rockman if you know the little reference behind it with their names. Yes, Rock(Mega)man's name was meant to corenspond with Roll's name, hence "Rock n' Roll". Along with the others having musical genred names as well. Like he said, Bass, Treble, Blues, and so on.....

Lots of chatracter names were influenced by something related to music. And like people already said, names sound better if you know where they originated from. I like the name Megaman but prefer Rockman sometimes. But...This topic is about M.Bison

If it were Vega, this wouldnt be as funny
i dont care if his name was vega, bison or fluffy that was a funny @$$ video
-
I grew up with M.Bison although I do like to call him Vega every once in a while for some reason.

>:-(-| dam how did i miss that rockman and roll rock n roll 8-} but still his whole costume and attitude and the fact that he could take ppls powers makes the name megaman fit him perfect. :)

Gouki-Strong spirit
Akuma-Demon
GET THINGS RIGHT
Anyways....I prefer Gouki over Akuma
and I prefer the US names of the Shadaloo guys
-
M.Bison
(http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters/bison-flyback.gif)
Funny b/c i didnt know the names were changed for US players when I first played SF2. Me & my friends always called him Mike Bison. Then later found out its Master from the anime. We always thought Balrog was very similar to Tyson though.
-
Bison's butt
-
Anyways....I prefer Gouki over Akuma
And that's another canon. Master Gouken trained Ryu and Ken in the island of Goukentou and his brother Gouki killed him. Wouldn't make sense if his name was Akuma.
-
M. Bison of course
