:o :o Man Syn you are just insane and incredible you always amaze me man. Anyways i have a few questions: 1 will there be alternate select screen options like char slots, 2 will there be a low res version because if not then i can just forget about tring this out since i don't trust hi res, 3 are there going to be more background pics of chars like Rednavi did just wondering. Also incredible job so far at what your doing with this screenpack it is truly astonishing. :w00t: :w00t:

well the screenpack is for hires mugen but you can use the high res select hack at random select that just shows the select screen in hi ress while he stages are low res.

im trying to finish this before the jan 08. My new stage is almsot done and I planned on installing all of my interactive stages in the sp to make it easier on those who cant install it.

Ok fixed the name bars so it supports single to teams to turns mode. All thats left is the fonts letters for choosing a stage then ill start the vs screen.

Yeah that new hi-res low-res hack is tight! It came out at the right moment also. I switched my sp work to the new hack, anyway I am almost coding the vs screen. when im done wih that, I will make a vid on how it looks live.
After that, then ill work on the lifebars. effects, etc. I plan on interactive elements for this screenpack as well so it will respond to characters. Not just the stages but things like my custom ko codee, my hurry up code, and other small things that will give the screenpack and patched characters real game effects. My synupdater will be included as well with the codes to patch with. everything else s far as the effect and custom interactive stage sprites will already be in place so users just have to run the patch once and they are good to go.
Expect a vid on the screenpack before the night is over with. :)

You have any ideas on what hitsparks you going to use? I was going to suggest maybe the MKvsSFII one's. Or you can try to make Tekken 5's type splash sparks with Particle Illusion (since it hasn't been done in Mugen yet).

hmm, maybe the proxicde ones. also the tekken ones looks like pixelated explosion sprites witch would be ease to mimic with PI, but ill probably use the proxicide ones since I have permission to use his sprites.

I will have results tomorrow, creating those graphics and coding them was enough work for today, but my goal was to show you all how the screenpack looks live. For alot of it to be created on my own graphic wise, I am quite pleased with myself.

Yeah. the screenpack is high-res, but there's a patch for hi-res WinMugen that let's you have a high-res pack while being able to use both high-res and low-res stages. They just updated it yesterday, thread's over at the Guild.

that way when you run the new mugen hack, mugen can tell which stage is hi res and whats not. All of your Nomral res stages can be left alone, just the def files for the hi res stages needs that line.
Now that I slept good and I am well rested and still have a week free from work, time to make those lifebars!

those are actually very nice the only thing, as this is just my personal preference, i dont like lifebars to take up too much space so moving the portraits to the side of the bar instead of under wow automatically get these bars a 10/10 :thumbsup:

To be honest, I just woke up. I past out coding the lifebars.
I will move the port windows to the side btw and I will make minor edits to the lifebars to make them compadible for team mode.

it was a new mugen hack that was released on christmas. I supports hi res and low rest stages meaning you can use both in the same mugen app, but it only supports hi res screenpacks.

Go to Random select and download it. You can use your hi res stages with your low res one. there are directions to follow to make hi res stages work right, its basically adding one extra line into the stage def.
in all of your hi res stages, in the section under [stage info] add this line;

what you see now is default, but ill do an interactive coding where you will get like a rank after you do a combo, sorta like Devil may cry or Killer Instinct.

The brokenmugen screenpack has that feature along with the announcer saying it. (MvC2)

You need to use 4 at 640x480 like you do with Hi-res lifebars.

Well I was hoping to have it done before Jan 08 but ill needs some more time on it, but I am happy with what I produced since last Tuesday and I plann on one more vid when i do what I said above with the random quotes in response to the combo counters and such.

I have the game and I ripped the announcers voices already.
I am making my own custom fonts and graphics for this game and im animating them now.

This is the same as the announcer yelling fight but with my own touches. The words comes in from both sides, displayes Decide your destiny, and when the players starts to fight, they will shatter and its fully animated.
I just gave you an example by posting a few frames im currently making or have made in photoshop, But like I said, I am using the Hokuto no Ken announcers voice and doing my own graphic sprites for this.

i don't think making everything high res in mugen is an easy thing...i mean if it was that easy then the guy who made the latest patch would have added the high res option for screenpacks and not only stages...i think it's a little tricky but maybe in the future it would be added..who knows

Seeing as how he is making straight rows, unlike for example EVE's classic select screen, i'm sure it wouldn't be hard to do it yourself.

I did some more work to the announcer graphics and fixed the minor but noticeable flaws like on the first image to the left where the sprites and logo are off by a few pixels. also added some more detail and such to the final part. It will be revealed when I make a live vid.
This will have a custom combo ranking as well not to mention thats one of the screenpacks interactive features. Alot of work to this screenpack will be custom meaning that some codes will have to be added to characters for some of those features to work.
No Worries,
I modified my SyN-Updater patcher to make it compatible with the stuff that needs to be patched to the characters and tested yeasterday during my break at work to make sure everything works properly.
Another thing I would like to mention is my interactive stages that are complete, near complete and unreleased will be packaged with this screenpack as well and the custom coding that the characters will need will be available in the patcher as well. I will have all of the sprites and stuff in place, the only thing users will have to do is extract the patcher in your chars folder and click on the patcher and in a few moments, all of your characters will be compatible.
There is a backup feature as well, all files modified by the patcher will have a back up folder with my name on it with the original materials inside and there is an undo feature that will restore your characters back to its normal state.
Anyway ill keep updating this thread as I go. I will have a new vid later.

Also, will Warusaki's characters work this time around with the patch? I remember last time with your MK stage they wouldn't work.

I'm reworking the meteor storm stage where i wont need a variable to make the stuff happen. if that works like i want it to, then yes, warusaki characters will be compatible.

Majority of what you see in here are custom stuff and some things are coded in the characters via the patcher I modified.
Still need to make some win icons and win name latters, anyway enjoy.

really lving this screenpack i just have a few questions, when people say its mugen plus compatibleisitjust plus or also hi-res, second syn for the bars is the ko pause in the lifebars of is your chars and also i know the bars arent complete but the power bar could be a bit smaller in my opinion, thats just my opinion ofcourse this screenpack looks awesome and cant wait for completion
