Title: Metroid Prime 3
Post by: BigJ on August 15, 2007, 08:25:50 PM
omg I cant wait. I just saw some of the new videos they put in the Metroid Prime 3 channel on th Wii and OMG... Mother Brain is making a comeback, however, her new name is aurora, AND you find out why theres more than one mother brain.. and father brain lol... I personally think that this one is going to change my mind about the series. Metroid Prime 1 was awesome, Metroid Prime 2 was meh... ok... and Metroid Prime Hunters to me cant even be considered a game. Glitches are found literally EVERY DAY and its possible to cheat on wifi battles. I cant wait, especially if it's going to be wifi compatible. What are your thoughts?

Yup, I can't wait for it. Getting it day one... or at least im going to try. If not I'll order it online that same night. I haven't played the 2nd one, but I heard the 3rd doesn't tie in with it so i'm all good.

yeah, the second one was kinda boring, all they did was change the name of some weapons and add ammo, plus a few tweaks here and there.

Ice beam = Dark Beam
Plasma beam = Light beam

and they turned the wave beam into the anialator (don't remember how to spell that word T-T) which was entirely different and more powerful.

I also heard a lot of people weren't into the whole "Dark/Light" world thing. So, I just didn't bother getting, but of course I don't remember finishing the first one. It's been so long that I don't even remember. *lol*

I think 2 is better then 1. Dark Samus just says it all. 3 sounds awesome. I liked the idea of Prime on DS although since NDS is basically a upgraded N64 with a touch screen, glitches are expected.  Personally I wish to see a sequel to Metroid Fusion since that is the last game in the series. (Samus' suit changes physically thus making it look like the last game and making every other game a prequel). I miss Samus' fusion suit.

edit: thanks eg6gsr!  ;) after I posted this I read Excursions post on how to embed the vids.

I loved the 2D games. Like Super Metroid, Fusion, and Zero Mission.

I'm a huge fan of the Metroid series, and I've been waiting for this game FOREVER and a minute now! I can't wait!  ;D

Oh, and I'm so psyched since I'm working that day, so I can just put my money into the register and take the game home! *I work at a gamestop btw, if that last sentence sounded weird.*

There was going to be a sequel to Fusion for the DS called Metroid Dread. Read the Wikipedia article. Supposedly it was cancelled, but another section in that article says that it might not be cancelled...

I just got my Wii last week with Zelda, and I'm really psyched about Metroid Prime 3's release. From what I've heard this gonna be more an action game and less exploration and classic Metroid, and also it's supposed to be the last game in the Prime series. I have mixed feelings about it, but I'm also excited too.
