the enemyes of this area are monks (black and red cloaked)
the red9 is useful against the masked monks (you cant shoot in their heads,so aim to the legs)
ashley must survive(everybody know that)
be careful with the rocks #:-S
after a while fighting monks and that,you will find Napoleon :DxDie(hes real name is salazar) who have two aliens guarding him (no worries you wont fight him now)
i will not spoil the fun but there be bugs i warn you

Ok The TMP is one of the most useless weapons, sell it NOW!
Get a damned Semi Auto Rifle, don't buy any revolver because you'll get one for free later on in the castle.
What Shotgun you have? Normal or Riot? Get the Riot.
As for the Red9, not my favorite but a good choice of course, it's the most powerful handgun it'll help you alot.
Only those 3 weapons you need as of now.
Remember to knife the hell out of the downed Iluminados, to avoid wasting ammo.

You got 3 (more or less acceptable) weapons for that place and you still got troubles? :o
When I was there, I only had the gun you get for the medallions (Don't remember its name at the moment...) and the shotgun (The one you find at the beginning for free) with a few shells.
And I had to get the damn Sniper Rifle but I just used it for the moment and sold it later... ;*))
(Snipers weren't made for me... :P)
Keep using the knife to avoid wasting ammo like Gigan X3 said and...
I really don't know if you already forgot the tips I posted somewhere on another topic RE4 related...

The Punisher, Not bad, but weak no matter what, The capacity doesn't help at all. In the end it gets stronger but it's not as good as it could be.

You'll need the Semi Auto rifle for later on, in the way you should upgrade it;
Ashley will get traped and you need to brake some iron thingys that have her.

Well get some money because you'll need it here more than in any other place, the TMP proves useless in the castle, it does little to no damage and you miss alot( Specially with the Garrador and Masked Iluminados, they take 50 TMP shots and still stand up ). The Normal Shotgun's too weak 'till almost it's final levels And it loads a bit slower than the Riot, somehow.
As for the the Case, Get it if you want Ammo and more Health.
I say sell the Incendiary Grenades, they're too weak and they just temporarily stun your opponents, it doesn't kill them, keep Hand Grenades for Gigantes and Flash grenades for Plagas, don't waste Ammo on Plagas because they kinda absorb it, you can waste 15 bullets when you can just throw a Flash on 'em.

And the game only have the TMP!!! >:( And the infinite ammo one... (Chicago something I think...)
3) It wasn't that bad to keep buying and selling that weapon.
Like I said before... Snipers weren't made for me... :P

My saved points went for the last shotgun (The one that can have 100 rounds on it) since the game never had another damn and good machine gun style weapon...

Yeah I got the TMP too on my first play through, because We all love the Million bullets per second at hordes thing, but it's too weak and the Chicago's too Strong...They Never got it right. \-/o

Ah The Striker's a Good one, Although not a real Shotgun, it eats up Shotgun ammo because it spreads them like a Shotgun, however it spreads them more than a normal Shotgun meaning that it's weaker at distance but hits more targets, However 100 Ammo is quite a turn on. :)

And I wasn't thinking on not wasting those points that made my game "Hell on earth" so I had to find something else to spend those and that shotgun was the best option I could find. XD||

150 TMP Shots = 1 ShotGun Blank Shot
2 TMP Shots = 1 Knife Stab

....Duh, I'm talking about initial levels and still when Upgraded it's still the weaker weapon, it's power doesn't exceed 1.8 Power Ratio which is quite low, a Normal Hand gun of medium level can have that power level.

Only the rifle and the Broken/Killer7 do considerable damage to him, Shotgun you have to get too close and if you do that there's chance of loosing your head. TMP will take a lot to defeat him.
Hunk's my favorite character from the entire game, So I know that his weapon is the weakest, Why you think they gave him one of the strongest Attacks?( Neckbreak ).

Yeah repeat that 3 times and he's dead, maybe less if your rifle is stronger.
You can also use Incendiary and Hand Grenades IF you're having trouble, The Garrador's quite an Easy foe once you know how to handle him.

I Agree, For Starters the Striker rocks with it's 100 Ammo and extended Range.
But there's still a rather long way to go 'till you get it so as of now just improve the Semi-Auto.

That's a good tip, the Novistadors are quite resistant, and the Striker does better against them.

You'll need 2 hits on the Red Illuminado he's quite strong and he gives you a Illuminado Pendant which is worth 10000 pesetas. :)
