Use lines to draw.

Don't us the stencil part for everything.

And there have been memorable MSpaint characters...drawing for intended series sprites.

Use more professional programs.

Like Adobe and Paint Shop Pro.

Don't use paint, don't make them from scratch, use a base (:| Too many other things I could say.

1.I do use lines
2. Adobe and PSP cost to much
3.I don't know what is a good base for Paul.
4.I asked for help in shading and details

Not to sound rude, but why ask for help if you will not try to take it. Get a free trial of Photoshop or PSP, or find it on Limewire. A good base for Paul, just about any average white male character. There is a spriting tutorial.

Sorry to say, but he looks like a blow up doll.

You need to take time on your "drawings" (cuz they aint sprites yo) they all look rushed as hell and the shading looks like some clay was dropped in dirt and this monstrosity was born.

-His eyes make him look like hes using drugs.
-One hand looks like somebody blew up a doctors glove and hes holding it.
-The other hand looks somewhat normal.
-Did he get run over? Whats that dirty butt stripe on his shirt.
-His body looks like its being slowly twisted like if someone was trying to drain water out of him.
-The legs are just really bad. They make him look like a rag doll.
-His feet look like 2 holes in a green wall.

The second one is also terrible. It looks like he just finished painting a house while wearing a black sweat suit.

remember he's only a 11 years old kid.
and drawing from scratch in a pc, must to be more difficult to him.  :-??

Conicteam, why don't u use some harry potter sprite, remove the glasses and give him an adult body.

Or Gimp.....

Mabie CVS Rock Howard would make a good base (got that kind of hair cut atleast)

Great Idea Warner
And you are right Warner it is harder for me to draw on the pc than to draw on paper.

Here is the animated version of Paul McCartney. This might be a good idea to use as a template.

 ;D

But seriously, don't fret about quality just yet. Just keep practicing and you'll be able to draw anything from scratch just like MugenJF. ;)

I envy your ability to actually post these. I would probably never have the courage to post something to the world that I did when I was 11.....
