This game looks like fun. I know you can play as the Pink and Red Zyuranger/Mighty Morphin. I'm sure there's secret characters too. The story is Lord Zedd awakens and when he does, he's pissed off and distorts time. OH yeah, for anyone that wants to know which person the red ranger is from the 2 series. It's Jason, not Rocky! ;D

True. I tend to be more of a fan of the original Japanese Sentai equivalents (Go DekaRanger, LOL). The english versions do help introduce a whole other culture to the world of Sentai though.

You know, I was wondering the same thing last nght. That would be pretty awesome.
My suspicion is that Disney (The current shareholder of the Power Rangers franchsie in the US). Wants to make a bit more money from having the franchise reach out to different mediums (such as video game). It may just be that they see a bit more opprotunities for money making in this area.
Of course, Super Sentai does this as well, using the Sentai franchises in other mediums for this purpose I mean. The large ammount of merchandse (toys, action figures, clothing) in Japan for each Super Sentai series points to this. However, they haven't done anything quite like this-- combining all of the serieses (throguhout a thirty year span!) in one video game as of yet. Hopefully one of these days they'll eventually do something like that.

I agree. I feel that way because several years ago, I used to not talk about my interests with people. some are pallet swaps of other rangers so they have the same moves
others are great (example dekamaster/shadow ranger)

The Red ranger IS Jason, and the Pink ranger IS Kimberly. You can tell by the tones of their voices. You can only play as 4 characters from mmpr.
Red Ranger
Pink Ranger
Yellow Ranger (unlockable)
Blue Ranger (unlockable)
The story is that After Zedd became a good guy he still looked back on his days of being evil and found out about the time transport gems. So Omega Ranger (from SPD) of the future goes back into a bunch of other timelines and recruits 2 rangers from each timeline. He can only recruit 2 because that's how many rangers can use the time gems without breaking them.
The game itself, well it plays as a sidescroll platformer. You go to left to right in the old traditional 90's game style. Thebackgrounds are 3d and character models are cell shaded. Each Power Ranger uses the same moves. The specials are pretty much the same (each do their own pose).
Sadly I don't think the unlockable characters have voice actors. I played as the blue ranger (mmpr) and heard him say nothing. Although the gameplay is simple. Beat this army, boss fight, next level, beat army, beat boss, megazord battle, repeat.
Sadly the green ranger is no where to be seen in this game. Oh well. At least you can play as MMPR characters. I mean, the gameplay between each character isn't really different so they didn't have to add so many characters in the roster.
The game has a lot of unlockables and secrets, all which are easy to get if you're actually focusing on getting them rather then just trying to beat story mode.
Although I'd have to say the major downfall is the Megazord battles.
Normally you'd think it would be a monster mash. Instead It's a Shenmue style fast action button thing and you have to try to get the bosses life points to be gone.
Personally I think they could use more modes, such as Multiplayer vs. (there's only multiplayer co-op)
Online play obviously.
And of course perhaps playable bad guys as well as rangers from more series (such as Zeo, Dino Thunder, Turbo etc.)
It's a real simple action platformer, and at times it kind of feels like playing Supermario mixed with a game where you button mash to beat your opponents.
It's a solid action title, but it needs a lot more work to be perfect. Although this is the only good Power Rangers game to come out since a the genesis days.
I give this game a solid
6.7/10
