Title: My Master Mugen Menu
Post by: Acey on March 06, 2013, 01:56:31 PM
When I'm working on a project I usually find lots of way to avoid working on it. One of them was this little toy. I made myself a menu that links to the software I use most in creating mugen content and it also gives shortcuts to all my major mugen games on my computer. So when I'm creating I have everything right in front of my ready to open. No longer do I need to open a browser or find links or search through the start bar to open application, it's all here in one place in a pretty little package.

There are a few problems with making this a public version:

1) Not everyone has all the same file links as I do
2) Not everyone uses the same 5 mugen games I have in this
3) All of the links in the code direct to locations on my computer, which wouldn't match anyone elses.

Maybe if I had more time I could make something up nice like Tunglashors Screen Pack selector that could be heavily customized to fit individual needs but that would be a whole 'nother project all together.

If anyone wants a graphic template so they can add their own titles and code their own version let me know.

I only have the projects that I've worked on in the list. EoH, XSC, AvX and RMM as well as my own personal Mugen which is meticulously kept organized. Maybe someday openbor will makes its way into my life.

I keep mine in a dropbox will all my mugen fodder. I have all my stages matched up, all the music set properly and a well rounded roster that I enjoy. I have about 3,100 characters in there, only about half make it into the screen pack though.

Nice Lil roster there. Well i would suggest way to make easily available to anyone seeing as its not hard to create ones own paths but in the end i dont need it so forget it.

I got about 10 movie files, 20 fire fox tabs, Quick time, Photoshop cs6, Fire works, cs6, and a couple of folders open beside the background stuff as i work to save out Quints sprites. That doesnt even use a third on my comps power, and mem. So i think ill just stick to my style. To each his own. But bravo that is a great tool to have.  Wish i knew how to create programs....then i could code my wip.

That looks really snazzy and probably speeds things up a ton.
I'm old school... you don't want to see all the icons on my desktop, it's like a entire screen full.  I do have some things kinda grouped though..

That is what I was hoping for....

But anyway, nice roster Acey. I wish mine was like yours.....
