In other words, your video is not blocked, or deleted and no one is doing anything, Capcom is just acknowledgeing that it is their game.

I have no problem with this.  :-??

Wha? I thought Capcom loved this stuff? Didn't they say they loved the promotion?

If the video gets taken down its crazy. Otherwise, it does seem like they're just keeping track.

We have to remember that Capcom is very territorial, even with ALL the bases covered.

Agreed.  Any time a company publishes its own video or image they tag it with a copyright notice; this is no different, except that the content was published by a third party (you).  Seems fair to me.

I honestly don't see a problem with it... I mean if it got taken down I would've understood and agreed with you, but I don't see the problem.

Showin their love? And on a game that they no longer even try to promote or enforce? (and might I add that it was an incredibly balanced and well made game too)

First: They sell us BBA MegaMan
Second: This ship (trying to prevent myself from swearing) happens

Whats next? Are they gonna replace Ryu for Gouki as the hero of Street Fighter? I know it sounds weird, but at this point and time with Capcom, anything is possible.

Or Gouken, that would be awesome!

I dunno, back when I made this video:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJtBaNZeHGE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJtBaNZeHGE#ws)

I wrote to Capcom, Marvel, and the makers of City of Heroes, NCSOFT and asked them if it was okay if I posted the video.

Marvel didn't respond
NCSOFT said is was fine
And Capcom Replied as such (I had to dig thru my emails....)

"Fan videos are tolerated as long as there is not any revenue being generated from them. If this is just for personal use, we do not see it being an issue having the video(s) on YouTube. Thank you for contacting us.
CAPCOM Customer Support"

So I'm not sure what's up.  Isn't there some thing where if a company doesn't occasionally fight and claim their intellectual property, they run the risk of losing it?

I really don't see the big deal. The video is still up, right? The company in charge of Linkin Park did the same thing with my MUGEN intro video. Nothing came of it other than a little thing in the description that says how people can but the Catalyst on iTunes.
