That's right, I've updated my Gambit and also completely remodled his gameplay (though this also means some of the experimental custom supers I added before are gone), I tried to go for accuracy as well as that fun factor.

Some screens

Damage has been rebalanced (I sound like Crapcom now -_-)
HitBoxes are directly from MvC1 (thats right THE htiboxes from MvC1)
Added a few missing sprites
MvC2 FX
Changed command for Cajun Strike (Charge Down, Up, P/K)
Royal Flush recoded similar to MvC1
Cajun Explosion Fixed and Recoded

I ask for some of you to try and compare this Gmabit to MvC1 and other vs games. Lemme hear your thoughts...please...

It feels alot more accurate indeed. Very solid and more like the traditional Gambit from MVC2 that we all know dude! However, dude I just am still in love with the first version you released, so I think i'll keep that one.

-Nice small port
-Please allow the user to dash by using PP
-Decrease your xscale. He looks a little too big atm. .95 or .83 would make him look better.

This is the standard size, but if you believe it would look better, I'll make seperate ones.

About the dash, sorry to say this but you are wrong. In MvC1, certain characters will be forced in the air during their dash. If they get hit during their dash, they'll simply be in statetype = A.
Characters that fall during their dash if hit: Roll, Megaman, Gambit, Hulk, and Spiderman.

Fixed a few minor issues i found, plus fixed the xscale

An MvC3 mode has been added to Gambit, Im pretty sure there are some who wanted to see Gambit in MvC3, well I hope I somehow granted your wish.

nah I jest, nope sorry X-Factor is not really something i liked so I excluded that, very sorry.

no matter^^ :-j im really not a fan of the game like that anyway i kinda joked at that question because you said "Mvc3 mode" lol. when you said that the first thing that came to mind was the annoying X factor mode which i dont care for much myself either. But it would have been amusing to see in a new gamit edit for mugen since theres a few gambits edits out there anyway. It would have been different in that sense. But eh anyway its a cool gambit creation ya did though.

do you plan on doing any others?

Groovey news then. I look forward to seeing how those turn out^^. After Reza's Mvc style characters years ago i think this time someone should step up again and do MVC3 chars. Why not? It would spice things up for mugen a bit more i guess. Anyway im sure folks will dig it. So think about it. Good luck man

Well maybe I went a little overboard saying "MvC3 Mode" I always make dumb statements like that. Its just a patch to give him a feeling of MvC3 yet still retaining his 6 button layout. The patch changes the properties of some of his special moves. Its all mainly stuff related to MvC3.
Example: Cajun Slash Fierce causes a wall bounce to extend combos, Cajun Strike does a ground bounce, etc.

I see. Sounds cool, I'll try it out sometime.

Also if you want to update MegaMan sometime soon, I have a great idea for a Lvl 3 Hyper

i like him, he makes the cut as like the 10th gambit in my mugen.  \-/o i need to cut down my roster, or at least organize it better.

All I get is a blue screen with background music at your website.

Tried 2 different computers and had a friend try who lives in another state, and he had the same problem. Just thought I'd let you know.

Not to discourage you or anything cause I love your works, but I was a little disappointed that you changed him back to being more accurate to MvC2...I like your chars BECAUSE they are different. Not that you can't do what you want with your chars or that we can't have multiples of the same chars, but since Kamekaze recently released a more accurate Gambit,I didn't expect you to change your in the same fashion...to be fair though, I haven't tried your alternate mode with the newest updates...which is why I HAVE dled this updated Gambit...at any rate, keep up the awesome work, DCL!

Thank you for asking though. Gambit, Megaman, and Psylocke are my main characters in MvC2, to my demise, they didnt make it to marvel 3...

try using internet explorer, I got the same blue screen while using google chrome. what browser do you use?

Blue Screen? I guess it must be because you might not have the Metal Gear Solid Font that I used for the text.

Yeah I tried that a while back and it worked fine. Just doesn't work in Chrome for whatever reason.

Nice char, did you think about adding a custom mode, where you can make it work like his previous version? with all the custom attacks and gameplay, it s just a suggestion.

The first is better, Whats the point of playing mugen if you dont have custom edited characters? The first one is just sick. This is just a MVC2 Gambit. Your too damn good to be making accurates. Keep going with your custom style DCL!

Its not a necro bump if its news about an update. Also, you should edit the topic to say the date of the update.

Great work on your characters man, I really enjoy them.
