Title: Indiana Jones
Post by: C.R.O.M. Zaxis on May 12, 2011, 04:30:21 PM
I personally think he is long overdue for mugen.

I am working on the stance right now, but I still need help with attacks and coding to make it go by faster.  If anyone could help out AT All, it would be great! ;D :cool

UPDATE:
New sprites

UPDATE:
This project is officially 100% DEAD.  I got a virus in late May that destroyed all of the files on my computer.  All of my MUGEN stuff is gone.  I have re-downloaded it about seven times now, and regardless the version, none of the buttons/keys don't work.  I can't use MUGEN anymore.  At least untill i get another computer.  If anyone wants Indy, all that is saved and not wiped out is on this thread.  Just pm me first.

I suggest you get the sprites done first, then worry about the coding, cause otherwise it will all snowball onto you and you'll lose motivation.

1. Save your sprites as GIF or PNG (please do not save them as JPEG).
2. Upload your sprites to websites such as imageshack, photobucket, and so on.

http://imageshack.us/ (http://imageshack.us/)
http://photobucket.com/ (http://photobucket.com/)

3. After uploading, copy the image code, and paste it on your posts.

Actually imageshack changed when it comes to the policy of gifs. First you'll need an account and then you have to pay for it. I suggest tinypic instead.

Wow, that's strange.  If people need to use extra features on imageshack, then they have to pay...?  :(
I use photobucket, and I'm not paying anything.  :D

Sorry!  I didn't say about the part because when we upload our images on photobucket, photobucket tells the URL codes.  :-[

I like his eyes and the way he is holding his ropes.
Now you know how to post your images.  :)

It would be nice if you could make him a bit more differnt form the base, by giving him his leather jacket or opening his shirt up or something.

I agree. You're on the right track but there's more to Indy than a hat and whip. He needs his jacket and satchel too. Right now he's kinda just Joseph Jostar with no gloves or beard. Keep it up! Indiana Jones vs Lara Croft would be pretty cool.

True.  I was going for a more "Temple of Doom" fell in which he does not have his leather jacket.  I should open his shirt up more though.  Thanks ^^(PM)^

OK, so I was a little bored...

With colors separated:

With his palette applied:

Those sprites look good, but what is the separation for?  The only colors I see that could've used the color separation would be the hat and pants.  The rest seem to have unique colors.  :/

The hat, pants, satchel, skin and shirt are all shades of brown and it's easy to mix them up.

Why not throw in another pal part for a shirt under his jacket?

I'm so glad to see these edits (especially, I like his face).  :o :w00t:

I wanted to see a sprite with colors separated, and that's a very good sprite.  Thank you for showing this sprite.  I learn a lot (I didn't know much about smart palettes lol, and I'm glad to see the sprite).  :)
