With MvC3 out now I just see it written all over about the "Jazz" music from MvC2, but it wasn't Jazz, not at all. It's Funk or you could even call it a bit of Soul but there isn't an inch of Jazz in there. Just has to say...

It had some jazz in it but yeah I would say its more funk than anything else..
-
Never the less, I still enjoyed that music.
And judging from the posts made in the MvC2 thread, I'm the only one who does

MVC 2 actually has alot of Jazz and Jazz fusion with soul and funk. Jazz funk is actually a sub genre of jazz. Not all the music is Jazz, but alot of is or is a fusion of Jazz.

I would conceed that fusion is a good title for it. And Fusion is a derivative of rock and jazz.

I am with Acey on that.
MVC2 wasn't Jazz per se. The best title for it its Fusion.
Take that "I wanna take you for a ride" theme for example and pay attention to the drum fills. Its very funk oriented.

yeah it made ya wanna start poppin and lockin :D
