This is a project which I was gathering ideas first, and it was called "MVC NES".
Now its time to make a clean topic about this.

Now its called Megaman: Bit of Destiny.  
(the bit is a joke with 8Bits systems, those old ones that everyone loves).

Basically, its a crossover game, featuring chars from many dimensions (games) on a gameplay close (not 100% accurate) of Megaman series gameplay.

History:

Gameplay:

- No voices, like the old 8bits games
- All the SFX MUST BE in 8bits style. That old good ones blips and others.
* 4 buttons (kinda like Power Battles):

A) Specials
B) Hypers
C) Strikers
D) Jump

+plus directional combinations, like A+down, A+up, etc.
+plus charging moves (Megabuster should be carged, not a one button move)

* No air block
* No crouch moves (attacks, blocks, moves that should be blocked low)
* No grabs (I mean a button for grab. Just Grapplers will really grab, like Zangief, but its not a normal grab).
* Super Jump will be in, but since the chars are very small, you will do a higher jump, not a MVC OVER THE AIR JUMP. So no SJ stages.

* Classic Megaman intro will be added to every char. But you can add more intros if you want.

* Must be in 8bits style - 2 main colors, 2 aditional colors, black and white doesn't count).
Exceptions will be accepted, if there is a good reason.

* Every character must use a Megaman sprite as a base. You can use any of the robots masters if it fits, otherwise you must use Megaman's body as a base.

 Kyosuke as Striker and Hinata and Batsu in Hyper (W Projectile Attack) after that Stunning Punch

 I was wondering about Charged Shot be the Super Projectile (Shinkai...KiraiDan!!) and the same projectile be shotted diagonal/down just when full charged.
 Until the template be tottaly done, i will wait to do more frames.

 How every char will have a Shot as common attack, if every char have a common air combo launcher (A hook, for example) and you:
 - Without followup, keep shooting when the enemy bounce on every shot (like on Samurai Spirit's Andrew does) and you can finish with Hyper if all attacks was succesfully
 -  Follow up plus a Screen sequence of buttons (when the char rise in slow motion with Special background) and if succesfully, a sequence of shots and finish with a hit that launch down the enemy

 Both if fail will let you with open guard for few seconds, or just will consume 1 gauge stock

 Ilu, what you guess about every char have the "over knees KO" (3rd line, 4 frames on the left) as hit get required to be like Defending KO or Simple Shot KO?

Its an amazing job, for sure! Very complete.

And he made a cool job with some attacks (punches), that makes me wonder if we really don't need melee attacks.

I know it, maybe i was too much superficial om my speech, i want to say that: Put glasses on iceman and resize, or head swap on Rockman Body, to avoid re-work, pal!

because if we dont, AI will spam the fire button  :D

 I guess is better a Melee attack buttom.

 Almost every char have melee attack on his sheet, so i guess is better have two kinds of attack  ;)

that question is on my mind for so long. Plus, if we have a block button, people could act like a turtle. So, maybe its better to make a guard meter, what do you say?

I was thinking and, if the project it's going to have many diferent chars from many diferents worlds, user could make their owns mini projects, e.g I'm making the basic sheet from several Marvel Avangers and so I think when I have them done I could put them together on a Avenger 8-bit project, so if someone wants a Mortal Kombat project he could do it... I don't know if you understand, but its just a idea...

The running sprites also can used for the running shot, ideas for the helper? i think Kobra would be a good helper but i heard sugestions

to be honest  not many of these character bare little resemblance to their real full fledged counter parts. Its the color patterns that give away who they are in some cases. Other wise i see mega pallets.

As for Striker. It looks like the MK 3 version. Striker looks like the average Caucasian male with nothing special about him that stands out like so many other heroes and such. So i think it looks good. I say keep up the good work :thumbsup:

I meant his work is good. Striker is a simple looking guy and so is those sprites. they capture the character.

yes I'm making more moves, but fon now I have the basic moves for those that I post, and I'm working hardly in the captain america, wonderman, quicksilver and Ms. marvel, but I'm not going to post it 'till the template is 100% done.
the strikers for the four chars are, for cap bucky, for wonderman tony, for quicksilver wanda and for Ms. marvel she-hulk.

Since this trouble is caused by doom, galactus, I think it would be better if dr willy uses dooms science to get galactus. Than dr willy turns galactus in a giant robot version that dr willy controls and makes doom his herald (slave). This way a giant dr doom can be the sub boss empowered by the power cosmic and as a final boss you can have galactus his body and on top you have dr willy in a protected escape pod controlling the galactus body. Just an idea, this way you will stay true to the final boss of the old megaman series ;) .

That is a really good story plot but Dr.Doom and Galactus are so Obvious as boss characters, there are so many people in the marvel universe and we only hear about 1/4 of the people. And capcom has some good ones to.

I agree but I think with galactus doom and willy in the SP (with willy in the center as the big boss and galactus and doom in the back) and the story going about doom and galactus doing things, I think there is no other option than to make Willy the final boss with doom and galactus involved as bosses/sub-bosses . However doesn't mean that I don't think the 8 robot master that need to be defeated before facing willy can't be non-marvel/ non-megaman ;) . Also please keep in mind that these are just my thoughts and that it is up to o'illu to make the choices ;). I also don't know if there is even going to be 8 robot masters ;)

I am sure Big O and co. gonna have some mean tricks up they sleeve when fleshin out the Plot and might even be some twists in there so who knows. I thought how since Dr. Doom and galactus are always affecting how things play out in their universe combine that with Wiley and how he twists things up in capcom who knows how it could all turn out. there indeed many different peeps from all the universes that could affect whats going on and could be a subplot going on but still it all depends on how well the whole story unfolds. But the main focus is the 4 dudes who are setting this all in motion, dr. doom, dr. light, dr, wiley and galactus. the other ones thats countering their plans is the celestials and the beyonder. Its like the heros and villains are thrusted into their positions and are doing what they all have to do like chess pieces and its the hands of the leads that are directing what unfolds from those positions. So this will be very unique how all this meshes together and unfolds.

Hi guys.

I've decided to move this project to Mugen 1.0 - I'm a bit tired of old winmugen bugs.

With the new version, comes a new question:

Which resolution I should use? The 640x480 (like Winmugen) or the 1.0 one (1280x720), widescreen?

The 640 has nothing new and the Lifebar already works

the 1280 will modify the stages height and make the chars bigger, since mugen scale the chars (I think its good).

I would like to hear you, guys. Poll added to the topic

I would like to see it in 1280x720 'couse, well face it, the chars looks too little, and if playing in 1280 it fix a little the size of the chars I think its a great idea

This project is on hold, because I'm too busy with all other projects I'm helping (RMM, Super Nostalgia Wars, Megama Scrap Arena, and many others) and I don't have enough time for it now.

For now, this is the only project that gives me some motivation, and I am very ashamed that I haven't finished the template yet.
A crapton of things are happening on my life right now. I can't focus on Mugen as much as I would like. Neither my inspiration is that high.

Can't remember giving Nova (Marvel) - BDC, Gladiator (Marvel) BDC or SuperSkrull (Marvel) - BDC strikers and they were marked with ready that is why it was confusing.

And... Hulk is very taller than normal, you have to use another base to make him. In this way it isnt him. Try to use Armored Willy as base.

I think he did this because all others Creators mentioned in the guild topic that the their characters bases could be used in this project. Ilu just need to talk if him to solve this "problem" and i'll make a base for these two for he substitute.

If you take a look, Goro is REALLY BIG, but in MK they make it just a tad taller than Scorpion. See it?

You clearly didn't read the storyline where they tell you that these characters are actually Robot Masters infused with the DNA and memories of the actual characters.

That doesn't matter, 'cause at least, I could start to make a sprite sheet. I've found some good MegaMan-esque sprites of Reimu, that get a good use once I find these sprites.

2. Whats a hyper and a super and a special?
3. Are specials like Hadoken, Tatsumaki, stuff like that?
4. There are going to be intros and endings, right? If yes, how many?
5. Are there going to be any more Fantastic Four chars? If no, can I use them as strikers for the Human Torch thing?
