New animations for Hyper Hammer Mario mode (Finally named it XD )

Remade Finger Waddle Pose ( The old one was horrible, so I never used it, but the sprites were still in the sff.)

I have been working on him other than adding new sprites and animations.

Fire Blast is much shorter now like it should be

Air combos completely redone! Now each hit (excluding HK and HP) makes both players rise a little bit they should.

Now ultimate paper cut's sparks are blood (hey it is a Paper Cut, right?)

Changed the cheering crowd for the hyper combo finish to the hyper finish bg in MvC

Now Paper Mario has a lifebar portrait for Luffy's lifebars (oh sh*t!)

I have a new hyper in Doopliss mode which I posted in the screenshots topic that no body noticed. (Might not keep it seeing as lots of people will probably hate it)

I'll post some new screen shots later. :P

I've decided he needed some moves in the air.

I was thinking about 2 things:

Paper Airplane


And for a hyper in the air

Air Fire blast.

Also remade Doopliss Mario's stance and gave him a walking animation which I still can't get to work correctly in mugen yet.

Oh I get what youre doing, Its cool. I like the name lol. you should have him flash into fireball mode though, then flash out. :)

This WIP is looking cool. I know you been working on him for awhile, you went through a sprite change and I haven't commented on the new ones since you converted, but it's looking really solid. Keep it up.

Sprite Fix: PAPER MARIO'S MOUTH IS NO LONGER THE COLOR OF HIS HAT!!!! Seriously, that bugged the hell out of me seeing the inside his mouth blue or green.

So I remade his palettes, and......

Well since he only needs that one last hyper involving his helpers, what should it be like?

Also that one last super as well. (Hammer Throw, and Hammer Uppercut are only 2, he needs 3 )

All of his helpers? I dunno, have goombario stand in the background charging while every other helper uses their special move. When everybody is finished Goombario could use headbonk on the enemy (I pwned one of the bosses that way, 34 damage!)

Still brainstorming ideas for the Hyper with helpers in it. :-??

I still don't know how it would work out, I mean I'm trying to get one like the CapCom (Captain Commando) has....WITHOUT it being the same thing, just with different characters.

Anyone get I'm trying to get at here? ???

How about:

Lady Bow blows a kiss which freezes the enemy for the duration of the hyper
Lakilester flies in and drops Bombette, who explodes on the enemy, and they are set on fire
Sushi douses them with water, and Watt comes in and fries them
Parakarry drops Gombario onto the enemy, headbonking him and sending the enemy flying

Might be a bit long and confusing, not to mention hard to do

how about something referencing the actual game. Like the 1000 year door appears and opens releasing the fury of the Shadow queen. Or maybe he could put on a badge and become more powerful(that could also be a special) something like that.

Hmmmm, hows about a Hyper where all off his past helper run a train on the opponent, (That Servebot hyper)

And a desperation Hyper where all his past helpers use their Attacks on the opponent one at a time and Mario finishes

the combo off with a Super Jump attack!!

I read the page previous to this and got in idea for one of his supers/hypers. Remember the end of the first Paper Mario where you get an attack where the Star Spirits circle above the foe, with Twink in the center, and a huge aurora-like beam slams into Bowser? That would be sick.

The last two moves were actually very easy to code!

For the Airplane, amount of hits depends on the strength of the button (high kick, low kick, etc.)

I love this new super!! (wow nice Hyper BG!), I recomend that the HitDef of that super will be like the Charging Star of Captain America.

Thanks, but the move will be manual, like Servbot's King Kobun. I'm still having problems getting it work work correctly, I tried coding it similarly to King Kobun, but When I did it screwed up Hammer Mario mode. :(

If you made a This Black Ranger Adam instead you can have an interaction with Matsutzu's SPD ShadowRanger, since that SPD Red Ranger is gonna Be a Striker you can Do some Kind of Interaction with The Striker and Black Ranger!!!   :)

I had him at 1.5 anyway thanks for letting me know about the scale since it looks better the the 1.5 scale!

Power Axe Hurricane:

Zach will pull out his Power Axe, spin around like crazy (maybe not exactly crazy, but you get the point >>) and send the opponent flying into the air.

Works like a Shinkuu Tastu Maki etc., but the last hit sends the opponent flying upwards on the last hit instead. ;D

The wind sprites are the same that Zach used in the Green Ranger character. Since the Green Ranger is opensource, I took the sprites from it.

No. That problem only occurs if you add one of his sprites after the unchecked shared palette.

Once you make the sprite with the unchecked shared palette, you have to add all of his sprites before it. If you add them after it, the problem you mentioned will occur.

wow i totally just started ripping sprites for this very same character, from this very same game.  touche ermac won, touche.  well at least this saves me the time of having to make him myself.  anyway on to the critique......FRIGGIN AWESOME!  the screenies look fantastic and the god rugal death skull is a beautiful addition.  i really like the lightning blast from his cane too.  i think J i right on that you need to have a goldar team up hyper.  Maybe also consider a hyper where he calls in a giant monster attack.  Maybe a giant foot could come down from the top of the screen and crush the opponent?  Congrats buddy, you just created my most eagerly anticipated WIP.  Hope the work comes along well (and quickly  :-") .  Good luck :thumbsup:

The green ranger has a lot of moves, red ranger has a few moves (but from other characters >_>) and White Ranger has some moves. At least we have those instead of nothing.

Made of Triple WIN!  Zed was like the darkest badguy to grace the saturday morning/weekday afternoon fox network.

A neet Hyper would be were he calls on Serpentera to do some massive damage attack, might be hard to sprite so you could use like an actual show clip for the attack that take up the whole screen. (also to pay homage to the fact that power rangers had to use clips from all the super sentai shows)

I hope his ai is strong, Zed should put up a hard fight.

I forget who , but someone had a goldar wip & scrapped it . Zedd was a sweet looking bad guy . I always liked him even though the show sucked at that point . Nice job keep it up !

That's when MMPR was in the first couple seasons and at it's peak. If it sucked then, how could it have improved. There damn sure wasn't any better type of Power Rangers than Might Morphin'. I mean that was only like the 2nd year. :-??

and it's a shame with Goldar, he is my most wanted mugen character for mugen. I SO wanted to do a Tommy vs Goldar match. (altho I did it in their source game but that's all I have)

As I said many times, I still don't have my own internet, I'm using a Wireless-G router until Comcast turns cable back on.
This makes browsing less pleasurable, as well as time consuming. Seeing as other people's connection aren't very reliable.

Who says it has to be mvc style? Not every wip on this site has to be capcom looking.

Also cap is too bulky to be a power ranger. Iceman or Hayato would be better choices. But he isnt making an mvc character so.....

MVC style can refer to both the controll type and the artwork style. He was thinking of the artwork style.

It should. It uses sprites from the same game that I ripped the blue ranger sprites from (Ermac also used some of my blue ranger sprites for that black ranger he's working on).

Well the Power Ax could also be used as a gun, so perhaps a shot from that?
Or mabie a super breakdance combo.
Or mabie like the pic above but instead of the proton cannon, it could actualy look like the super gun from when they bring'em togeather.

damn i remember i would have mugen conversations with friends and we would talk about chars we would like to see in mugen, and lord zedd was the one i named. so when i saw you were makin him i was like...  ;D  lol. but dude, you should have a special where either 1) he throws his staff and makes himself reallly really huge and just kicks butt or 2) he gets rita and goldar and a bunch of putties out to kick butt. those would be tight specials lol

Now I am really excited for Lord Zedd.  If you haven't noticed I pretty much use only Vs style characters for the most part.   ;D  I wish you the best of luck with finishing your Lord Zedd.   He is coming out very nice.  :thumbsup:

That flame Super KO BG is actually the sgs KO bg. It random shows a Shine, Star, Kanji, or a mushroom. Not a bad idea, I like it, and may add it.

During the sgs coins fly around the screen now (idea from the Koopa Troopa character)

I also added a fire blast to Mario (LVL 3).Kinda like a mini beam that doesn't fill the screen. (Not on my computer, so I can't show y'all)

Evil Mario now has the Ashura Warp

I may add a move where Mario transforms into Ice Mario, Stomps his foot, and freezes p2. (still haven't played Mario Galaxy yet so I may change the way it works)

And, does any have a picture of Mario where he looks evil, or angry?

B. I think it should move pretty fast. How will it look when it actually hits the opponent? I'm thinking it either hits the opponent and falls to the ground and slowly fades away, or it stays in the opponent and slowly fades away after a while.

That seems kinda tricky to be used for a combo...however it would be pretty accuracte character wise

My vote also sides with pulling P2 to you, rather then you being pulled to your target. Even if the hookshot isn't 100% accurate to what it does in the adventure game, a hookshot is still a hookshot and as long as the animations are there and look good, you'll have nothing to worry about.

ok I saw u got the arrows down so here's some ideas I got
for mayby an Ex move
you could have Fire Arrows (or Ice?) just make the enemy change color when hit
(like when a char gets hit by Ken's firey shoryuken they turn yellow, ect)
also mayby for a Hyper move
you could make one like SVC Zero's Charge Blast Super
but
use the Holy Arrow instead!

cool, Link happens to be one of my favorite characters and I think I have a few ideas for some of his moves.
how about adding in some items from some games.
like
Pegasus Shoes.
fire and ice rods
 Bombos, Quake, and Ether Medallons (if you played a link in the past then you should know what they do)
and maybe a few items from twilight princess. (like BAll in chain and the spinner that comes to mind)
just a few ideas.

and to come to think of it, the spinner doesn't make much of a weapon anyway. (as what it does is does a spin attack while riding the spinner)
and I'll see about the Medallons. (but if you know any other zelda game like the wind waker, phantom hourglass and such, you could get some ideas from those games)

I'm currently making a Light Arrow hyper. It acts just like Zelda's Light Arrow in SSBB (From what I've seen thus far.)

As of now, there isn't much of a difference between Normal Link and Dark Link.
Dark Link has a different stance, and different walking animation. Like most characters with alt modes, he will be selectable by pressing any punch/kick + start.

So anyone have ideas for Dark Link? He won't have the Triforce Slash or the Fire Arrow.

NOTE: Stance may change.

So like the other young link, only not missing a ton of sprites, and actually complete? Looks cool...I like the current link that mvc combos, but looking forward to this too.
Also, love the above signature XD Ronald is on steroids or something...

Hmm...HE should have that awesome move he has in Ocarina of Time....Jumps on your sword (or arm for mugen) and then just back flips and cuts you on the way...

EDIT: I just thought of a special, the rolling dodge into rising slash. First he'd need roll as a technique like ken. then as a special attack, the roll with like maybe a button tap cancels into like a one rotation spin slash, like the back slice hidden skill.

Does the shield strike send the opponent into dizzy animation?

So? If EMW is not in the mood to then you can't force him to. Heck he can even cancel all his wips, shutdown his site, demand his creations are removed from various hosting sites, and even more because of some person who demand him to work on a sticking character. He is doing it because he wants to and he sure is not even seeing a penny out of it all.

When i saw s. man falcon punching, my jaw dropped. The only thing that would be better than that would be an ACTUAL Captain Falcon for mugen. Very nice work

Also, wanted to say, the Black Ranger you made.. Although not having the best sprites by any means, is probably one of best coded chars I've ever come across. Probably top 3 if not the best. Really great job on that, so I expect amazing stuff from your coming chars. :thumbsup:

Thanks. As for Lilith, maybe not. I was planning on making this Morrigan fight by herself. (Which means no Lilith assistance in hypers) I might make a alt cmd file and add Lilith to it later since it's in TvsC. Good idea either way.

I wasn't too sure what to use for the center in the Hyper Combo Finish effect, so I used the Dark Force bat.

Well, I started a new W.I.P out of boredom without interwebs.  That W.I.P is no other than Kohaku from Melty Blood.  Like all of my chars, she's based on MvC gameplay with a few differences.  Her gameplay will be a bit different from my previous works, as she's coded completely from scratch instead of a template.

Features:
MvC chain combos and launchers
TvC, CFJ, and MB sound effects
Power Charging
Air Dashing
Recovery rolls
Guard Pushing
Lv1, Lv2, and Lv3 hypers
Lots of custom effects
Melty Blood Actress Again Sprites
Rushed text for Hyper Combo finishes. :-"

Though I'm happy with what I've currently completed, she feels like she's missing something.  I guess I need to make some custom in air specials or something, because she's somewhat lacking in aerial hypers/specials, making air combos a lot less fun.  If anyone here has ideas, tell me.

One more thing, in her source game, she has an attack which does two things: Increases time for her blood heat mode, and gives her super armor.  I wish to include this attack in my version, but she doesn't have Blood Heat here.  Any ideas on how to make this work are welcome.

Hey Emw/Error Macro. I can show you how to code the super armor, but you'll have to explain to me Blood Heat's timer and such 'cuz I haven't played MB as deeply as I've wanted to...that is, if you're gonna include it.

Well, I do know of one way to make Sman's hokuto Hyakuretsuken only do 100 hits, even when comboed into, but that doesn't relate to kohaku's progress, as for Kohaku, it looks fairly good, and I can't really think of a way to implement that blood heat. But hey, I know you'll think of something inventive.
